Well... Looks like this has become an old memry's thread. Hell, I love em This is the reason I like FOH-I started playing October 99 (first year it came out, can't remember if that was 99 or 98), and on my server I was fairly old... not one of the originals, but not exactly new either. Reading FOH reminds me that there are real real old players. Shit, the first thing I can remember seeing on a patch screen is that Jboots were being made into a quest... thats about as far back as I can remember. Hearing peeps talk about original stuff is cool. There was another way to dupe your corpse here that no one else seems to know about. I've done it twice, but it no longer works. Fight Dragoon Zytl in EC, and pull the plug as he kills you. Log back on, and if your lucky you'll be right next to your corpse, with all your equip on you and your corpse. Not sure if there is any other timing involved, but like I said i've had the same thing happen twice to me.Also, logging into yourself after an LD rocked One time i went LD in rivervale, logged back in quick, and i was in the zone twice. So i sent the other me a tell, and it sent the exact same tell back to me. was weeeeeird.

I've still got a level 1 ogre war camped out in PoF before they level restricted it. We kept zerging level 1's in along the walls as the level 50s were getting slaughtered figuring out the zone and trying to break it.. Got to watch a lot wipeouts... PoF really was a dangerous zone when it was first opened. Running up to Cazic to say hello freaked everyone out when he did zonewide shouts.

Mistwalker was a 10/25 Ranger/Druid wep that proc'd a wolf pet that hit double 146s? and bashed like 88ish... sorry been forever since I played my Ranger. FoH was not "really" responsible for getting it nerfed. Mistwalker was nerfed 5? times. Sean probably remembers better than I do the order and how many times. Nerfs: 1) Nerfed him down to 1 hp 2) made it so the pet was unbuffable (they actually made it so that ALL pets with less than 20 hp were unbuffable) 3) uber agro. When the pet was alive he'd draw attention of anything nearby. This was VERY buggy and could cause whole zones to be brought to ya. 4) Nerfed the drop (No longer dropped) 5) Nerfed the pet duration to 1 attack round, then to 10 secs then.../shrug whatever. Even after the Mistwalkers had stopped dropping they once again nerfed the pet to live for 1 attack round, then swapped it to 10 secs.. can't remember which one they settled on. Short answer... you know those weps you have in PoP that proc swarm pets? It was one of those back in original EQ for Rangers and Druids. It was just a big deal cause it wasn't very balanced at the time. By today's standards even with the original version it would kinda blow (cept for the fact you could proc the pet then switch weps). Sorry if I'm repeating redundant info.. I didn't read this whole thing, just the original post.

Yes, the good ol' original rogue epic that was range useable... I forgot how the paladin epic was bugged, but did it not have that insane DoT that was nerfed immediately? Lustrous Russet, Cryosilk, rez exp bug, going grey in Hythloth, blade spirit magic resist trick...good ol' days of EQ and UO.

+2 Internets | Hey hey hey! Doom had a better storyline. Zombies and infernal demons took over the moons of Mars and a marine, Taggart, had to wipe em all out. Seems more straight-forward than anything EQ's given us. |

Not sure if this has been metioned yet (didn't feel like reading all the post), but: Ton Po's Bo Stick of Understanding Was a kick ass weapon for monks back in Kunark era. So good that it was taken off Trak's loot table and not put back on till PoP (maybe Luclin).

Andriana of Hoss still has a BFG ![]() On a side note, the BFG is no longer able to be made....they removed one of the components for the quest from the spawn table in Western Wastes. I don't really know why except that you could train your archery skill while melee'ing. And the fact that rangers could now be getting double damage hits from AM3/EQ while meleeing ![]() if only the ratio were better.
