because they weren't skilled enough to make a mob have that big uberdeathsword graphic without equipping the sword. It's a pity disarm wouldn't work...he'd just be a crappy paladin lookalike then!

or it was easier for them to put the graphic on that way. luclin wasn't exactly screaming 'VI spent lotsa effort on making me'.

Does the new Ranger weapon that procs Mistwalker suffer from the pet poofing after 1 round? If not, SoE should think about un-nerfing the original Scimitar of the Mistwalker.

Anyone remember Koraf deleting his full set before the patch went in that made it war only? He thought they would make it retroactive....... Oopps...

We mostly gave it all to wars and rogs since we thought they would make it war only, even the old sets...

Mistwalker was a scimitar if I remember correctly, been so long. I believe what you are thinking about is the predecessor to the Bladed Thulian Claw. Way back at release instead of the bladed thulian claw, another claw dropped that had a boil blood proc. It was deemed to powerful and removed. Can't remember the name of it for the life of me though.

The main reason they removed demon claws was because there was no demons/angels in EQ. They used to nerf player names that made reference to such, so they removed the name on the item to remove any arguements the players might have to that fact ;p

they did make it retroactive at first.

i called them up and explained that they still hadnt added any rogue only armor yet and that by retro nerfing the LR there was nothing better than rubicite for a rogue to wear. (this was before hate, and before anything but the woven shadow bracer existed in fear).

it was changed back to its original form; and the war only stuff took its place in the drop tables. woven shadow drops in fear actually did eventually get fixed, just briefly before being removed again to be put in hate when it opened.
