Ah the slippery slope, incomming pay for ingame item servers. What you want full tier(whatever we are up to now) that will be 4 dollars each and 5 for the chest.

I'm pretty against this... Yeah, they are cosmetic...but isn't part of what you do in WoW for cosmetics? Isn't that part of the reason raiders/pvp'ers try to complete mount achievements? Cosmetics are a large part of the game and now they are straight out charging money for it?

TBH I was also one of those unhappy with Spectral Tigers and Blizzcon mounts and shit but I think this sets a bad precedent for future MMO's, want something cool? PAY FOR IT!

Jesus, I am so glad I quit this game. I love Blizzard, but FFS they are going overboard on the "trying to wring every dollar out of players" mantra. This actually has me a little worried, you think they will pull the same shit with Diablo 3, charge money for some kind of uber weapon or armor set. I really hope not.

what i don't understand is why activision stock price has been flat for 2 years now

cmon, all this whoring out should at least increase shareholder value.

only thing I feel bummed about is cancelled my accounts 2 days before this announcement, it feels good to write down "FUCK YOUR RMT SHIT" in the comment box. oh well, I'll resub for patch 3.3 anyways, and I can write that down when I unsub again.

and yes, I paid $10 and bought a panda, thing is motherfucking cute. i paid $10 for basically a flash animation. woo.

I believe they will. When you look at the pet store, you can see these pets are listed under the Warcraft tab, implying there will be new game tabs in the future.

Honestly, this doesn't bother me at all. It's not gear or anything that enhances your character. Want it? Pay 10 bucks. Don't? Wont affect your playing ability at all. This is also a much better system than their TCG or EQ's LoN. Paying 200-300 bucks for a chance at something is bullshit.

It starts that way.

First, they sell RL stuff that happen to have an impact in-game, albeit minor.

Then, they sell IG services for the same.

Then, they sell completely virtual stuff.

Then, the next stage will be minor advantages that you could get in-game, if you want to, or get on the Battlenet store, if you can't wait.

Then, it will be in-game TCG.

Then it will be potions that stack with the existing potions & buffs.

And then, it will be unlockable instances.

We're just halfway there yet.

DLC will come, new zone, weapons, armor, runes! Only 4.99.
