There is still room for the upper nut-busting raiders, but given how dithered they have become with content that is 'doable' in some form or another by everyone and their dog, there is little to no fame anymore for the average player to shoot for. I'd say that's a pretty dangerous role for the B team to be promoting, but they don't have much choice.
I think the game has plenty of challenge for bleeding edge raiders, but it's really lost the 'core' audience to quote the infamous Brad McQuaid. 99.8% of the content in the game is literally "can do it in your sleep" trivial, and the last .2% of the content is "punch yourself in the privates" hard, with absolutely NO moderate challenges in the game save for possibly the 10 man hardmodes.

what happened to the "will reward people who create groups", I guess thats out the door? A small evil part of me wants to form groups, kill the first boss in the daily heroic, then start kicking people and inviting new ones until every single person on the server is saved to an instance they cannot complete.

This system looks interesting. It should be fun for new people who just hit 80 to be chain kicked out of groups once people zone in and inspect them.
I thought I read somewhere there is a minimum gear check performed for some of the harder instances to keep the lesser geared people from joining. I could be remembering wrong though...will have to see if I can find it.

...found it on the PTR notes page.

As part of the matchmaking system, some of the more difficult dungeons will have a minimum gear requirement. Players also need to meet the requirements for dungeons that require attunement, such as keys or quests. If a player does not meet the requirements for a particular dungeon, a lock icon will be displayed next to that dungeon. Hovering over this icon will display the requirements which have not been met.

Might as well skip all that and do it like this.

Just saying, this change itself isn't hurting WoW at all, the design of the game already makes travel meaningless.

I personally welcome the change since WoW for me has become "log in and try to get a PuG" since I play at such random times. This will make that a lot easier.
Yeah, but now this has become Diablo 2.5, hell they can remove the cities and just use a chat with our avatar below, true Diablo2 style, not much of a difference after all. Seriously...

So what? I don't care if its fair to everyone else, if enchanters broke the social standard and stopped DE'ing for everyone else we would profit greatly.

Everyone greeds, if you win the piece go vendor it, if we win we DE our own, and take back half our profession

Enchanters Unite.

The new system will now work to match at least one experienced player for the assigned dungeon with less experienced players in the group. It will more carefully match class types, and will more consistently match players of equal levels for the dungeon chosen. The interface will also allow players to see how many players are looking for groups as well as the average wait time of groups that the tool has formed.
So now I have to carry fuckin newbs? 70% of the players who have gear are BAD... now i have to carry those people who DUN EVEN HAVE THE GEAR?

Cross-server dungeon queues is a good thing imho. Will be much easier to get instance group while leveling alts.

Sadly, there will be even less world PVP than there is already. As for non-PVP servers, the non-instanced world may as well not even exist already.

This is all too difficult to master, really.

I think I should be able to log in, stand in one place, click some buttons and have the dungeon and a full group teleported to ME. Then, once inside, another button appears: "trash.' I click the "trash" button once, and 1-3 trash mobs come flying at me. If the trash button crits, the words, "bad pull!" flash accross the screen, and 5-8 trash mobs com flying at me. Occasionally some herb or ore node will appear instead as I wipe the sweat off my forehead and my stationary group lets out a nervous giggle. After a while of spamming the trash button, it is replaced by a blue "boss" button. You know what comes next. Yeah, dead boss, more trash, and then the big red "FINAL BOSS" button appears and I'm like fuk ya!

We down that fucker and are immediately teleported to empty space, and new buttons fill the interface:

Merchant
Trainer
Forge
Cyber Tram (hot sex!)
etc

All at my beck and call!!

This change should be 70 and under only. And as newer expansions come out never more than 10 levels from max.

the warp to the dungeon idea is gold for leveling alts that you actually want to run through instances... 5 years ago, anyway. Fuck it was difficult typing /who war/priest 40-50, whispering each one asking if they wanted a group, and then waiting for them all to travel to the middle of nowhere. It did make for good friends though when you found the group that didn't suck

Doesn't work that way. The only daily is the random daily, and you get that reward for the first dungeon you complete where you selected "random". You aren't locked into the first "random" dungeon you do - you can leave one, pick "random" again, finish that one and you get the reward. In addition, as long as you select "random", you can go back into heroics you've done that day and do them fresh again. Yes, using "random" you could run heroics all damned day and never be locked out. You can't use the option to pick a specific dungeon to pick something you did on "random" and got saved to, though.

The disenchant thing is because you're going to be grouping with people who aren't from your server and can't trade with them. As someone with alts with enchanting I like it, since handing out shards, dealing with retards who don't know to pass to the enchanter or who don't trust the enchanter, and all the other minor BS is eliminated by this system.

This will deffintly benfit some people more then others depending on how their server is. PUG's on my current server are truely terrible, to me this is a welcome change for gearing up my alts and badge farming, it will make it go a lot faster. If i was back on my old server Sylvanas though I would not need to use this feature at all PUG's there where pretty damn good 90% of the time.
