Just set up a new account for $10 and 2 box your way to 60. And if you want, you can transfer the character to your account after you're done. Better than having to depend on someone else.

A leveled up about 6 characters using RAF and 3 boxing (2 RAF on 2 accounts, and my 80 DK on another). Incredibly quick with a level 80 running you through instances (Especially as a Death Knight, I could clear Scarlet Monastery in 1 pull).

Aye, when grouped with someone within a reasonable level range of yourself you get 3x the xp for mob kills and quest turn-ins. What Sutekh is proposing is to level you even faster than doing the quest part. He will run the 80 in instances, for example killing all of SM cathedral in 1-2 pulls whilst the 2 linked accounts sit and play pattacake nearby saying "Ding, grats, lol!!!11" every few minutes.

HOWEVER

As I know you haven't ever played WoW to max level before, if you are considering playing the game, do yourself a favour and actually level properly just the once. Or hell, even twice, once for Alliance, once for Horde. For all the legitimate complaints about wow, the levelling from 1-80 isn't part of that and every patch seems to remove something retardedly annoying and tweak some of the progression so you can skip what are the unfun parts. RAF is perfect for levelling your 2nd or 3rd alt onwards but personally I would never recommend it to someone new to the game. The next expansion will completely change the 1-60 part it seems as well so now is a decent time to see that content before its gone.

Just my 2 pence, don't spend it all at once.

I've leveled to 68 once with a warrior, then later traded eq stuff for someone's PVE geared decked war on these boards, but gone mid 50s multiple times. releveling is actually what stops me from playing again. I've seen those noobie zones more than I ever care to. Though I have no interest in playing on BDF, was mainly just curious as to why he would want this, makes sense if he gets to ding an alt on his account.

I don't really care for the TBC zones much either. I wasn't guilded so I basically did various daily quest everyday (a bit better with sunwell or whatever opened), faction grinding for drakes and PVP. Mainly just want to do some casual PVP with friends again, wish I had been 'recruited' by one of them before I bought that last warchest

Ahh okay, then snatch his hand off and get 1-60 asap, outland can be done in a couple of good play sessions nowadays to get to 68 and then you hit Northrend. The AV your way to 80 train has left the station sadly but again, a lot of the ride to 80 in Northrend is entertaining enough and you can start on some of the pvp stuff along the way.

I hope you grow to like the wow pvp because unless you know someone to get into a decent guild of raiders, the wow endgame is a long frustrating cycle of "link the highest achievements know to mankind" to get into 90% chance of failure on Thaddius terribad naxx pugs.

10 bucks eh? They giving you the expacks for free these days or did you just leave that part out?

While it's nice to RAF to 60, it's really fast even without it. I made a n00b rogue for fun, and after a month, he's sitting at 70. That's not playing hardcore in any manner.

I've got my group of friends that still play pretty hardcore in the top guild of their server. They love it, but I long since got bored with the game and raiding.

My best times were hardcore back in Vanilla going through Naxx, or later, when my group of friends made a "hardcore" group of 10 and we all got bear mounts outta Zul'... wtf was it? Took that 10 man group into 10 man Naxx after we raced to 80. Fell apart when we tried taking it to 25 mans.
