I am really interested in weeklies for raiding.

It should bring an interesting feel to the raiding.

You are going to churn out Onyxia/VoA/Weekly/ToC25 the first night maybe and then Icecrown for the rest of the week.

This is all if badges are important is they were for ToC.

The question is what happens when you shatter Frostmourne. Does Arthas regain his sanity and split from Ner'zul, ultimately assisting you in defeating the Lich King and dying in the process? I'm putting my money on the Darth Vader ending for sure.

From the recent book "Rise of the Lich King", I'd say the odds of that happening are slim to none. In the book, there is a mental struggle going on in a chamber that looks like the dining halls of Capital City's Royal Palace. There is Arthas Menethil, Ner'zhul, and a sickly young boy who represents Arthas' humanity remnants. Spoilers below, from the WowWiki article.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

In a dream state where Arthas sees past, present, and future, presented by Ner'zhul, Arthas murders the child manifestation of his humanity (e.g. love, compassion, and so forth). Delighted at this decision Ner'zhul states "We are one, Arthas. Together we are the Lich King. No more Ner'zhul, no more Arthas -- only this one glorious being." With that Arthas murders Ner'zhul and tells him "No we. No one tells me what to do. I've got everything I need from you -- now the power is mine and mine alone. Now there is only I. I am the Lich King. And I am ready." Ner'zhul is stunned by the betrayal, then disappears. It is uncertain if this dream state actually results in Arthas murdering Ner'zhul's essence, but it would seem to indicate that Arthas's soul lords over Ner'zhul's.

Of course the main problem with that is they dilute the thin player-base even further. Making it more difficult to make a functional raiding guild, or even run 5 mans.

Honestly, at this point I think the notion of creating pre-selected player factions as a means to give some sort of vague PvP direction is a failed game mechanic. It only serves to segregate the player base from itself, making it more difficult to form a balanced economy and guild system without providing a solid base for player PvP.

Of course, that's a discussion for another thread, not this one!

Arthas is secretly Zebuxoruk and once you defeat him Druzzil Ro will pop back in and reset everything. This way they never need to explain away why Northrend is still in turmoil even after the cataclysm.

Then the shadowmen will appear and explain every other question away as well.

No shit, right? They try to explain it off as "Well, as you level it's a timeline.." and then when you point out that you go from level's 1~60 where it's all about the world in chaos from the cataclysm to Outlands where it's "Oh noes Vashj is stealing all the water!!" then back to icecrown where nobody gives a shit anymore.

They really should just have made the new cataclysm area's go right from 1~85 and basically turn outlands/northrend off until they intend to use them again.

So it's hard to tell scale and all, but the Frozen Throne area doesn't look all that big, really. Gonna be interesting to see what that's going to be like...

Is this what you are referring to?

We don't know how far the camera is zoomed out in that picture if it was.

Looks like part of the ground will fall away, maybe leaving you in the centre or mid-air like Malygos.

Its not Frostmourne that corrupted Arthas its his armor.

While he dreamed, he banished his humanity and consumed his other half, creating the dominant entity of the Lich King.

The sword corrupted him :P Or he'd never have done everything he did PRIOR to the end of WC3TFT. The helm being placed on was what fused he and nerzhul together into the lich king..
