| That's a pretty good list but I think I might have dropped death and made fantasy my top 3 choices. Oh and I would've added "healing sucks", linear environment, stagnant economies, only vertical advancement. The problem is a lot of mmo dev's are afraid of modern mmo's. For example how do you handle guns, lasers, rocket launchers, nukes, fast moving vehicles and so on? How many of you would like a Company of Heroes MMO? And how many of you would like to be level 98 and still be one shotted by a level 12 because that's realism? How would you build a game that's not build around someone tanking and someone healing? How could you build anything more then just another Sims? But a good creative dev could do something with other races, species or even with modern weapons plus modern magic themes.

| I'm more surprised consoles haven't gone for MMO Action games. Imagine like Dynasty Warriors with slightly more RPG elements. Could be a shit ton of fun, fighting against armies of NPC's, and player heroes. The list isn't too bad, I agree with a lot of it. I don't mind Fantasy setting at all. I would actually much rather play in a fantasy setting than any other, it's just more appealing for this type of game, to me. Players are the best and worst part of MMO's. If you find good friends in game, the game becomes infinitely better. On the other hand, you can have hours and hours of time wasted because of morons. Just depends. As for stats being #1, eh. I would love to see another system work better, but until I do, I personally can't imagine it.
