We have fixed 90% of the zone crash bugs, and things seem to be running pretty stable now. Give it a try whenever and tell me if you still crash etc...

Hey Guys,

To address the crashing issues with our server, we did have a lot of zone crashes when it was first brought up, mainly due to how I was handling the chaos zone timers, since then I've patched quite a bit and resolved a number of those errors.

There was still 1 bug that would cause a zone crash that I believe I have fixed in my latest patch this morning.

As far as client crashes, we are seeing them mostly for people who haven't downloaded the spells_us.txt (if you have titanium). I haven't tested the SoF client at all and I hear that client has more crashing issues in relation to spells being cast.

We'd love to have some more testers, I'm working on some melee changes soon that might help melee in the early game against casters, also potentially some caster changes. This morning I put in a patch that should allow Monks to mend others.

With all that said it still is considered Beta and there will be lots of bugs for sure, with my content as well as the original code/content I based this server off of.

#zone Tacvi every boss in there drops decent loot for every class, still if you augment your epic with the 2hander only it will become a 200+damage weapon with same delay. Don't go into Tacvi until you either have a pocket healer or your can lifetap for 7-10k and have 70K HP.

Other commands let you mem all spells/tomes etc. but forget what those are. Played again last night just going through some of the zones, how on earth we put up with PoTime trash mobs I have no idea.

Screwin with a cleric right now. Didnt see that aug. If my theory doesnt pan out, I'll prolly do a paladin since a 250/40 weapon in anybody's hands'll be deadly.

will do. Just got frustrating crashing almost every time I zoned or randomly after 20 or 30 mins of play. I crashed in the bottom of black burrow so I know I will either be dead or die when I come back in hehe

And nope crashed on my 2nd zoning. No idea why it keeps doing it.

Right now population is real low, however, hopefully as we continue to add features we will get more players.

We have 2-3 regular testers who are on most of the time (outside of ourselves), at the most we've had 15 on.

I just a host a server for me and my group of gaming friends.

I make my main character a GM so I can have access to all the commands.
Allows me to be a GM , and play a regular character at the same time.

Only 6 of us so we do about one dungeon every Friday night. I usually set it up beforehand so I can control the environment and loot the mobs drop.

Been really fun especially when we do it off the LAN.

Doing LDON is where it is at the items you can get for 50 points all have three augment slots, shitty stuff but with three augments I have a 420/32 damage weapon and over 150k HP now and still have like 6 more slots to fill with three augments each. So potential 90k more HP to get, I think at that point I will be bored with my beserker and try a caster haha.

Hatorade, what server was it that you were playing on? I haven't played EQ in ages (I only got my monk up to 55 from launch), and it would be fun to roll a character on a server that has really fast leveling speeds and gives you nice weapons/gear to start with. I would like to go solo through some of the old zones that I never got to see and fight some of the bosses I never saw.

What custom server do you guys recommend for this?

edit: Looking back through the thread, it looks like Stormhaven or EZ Server are the best for this type of experience? Found the Stormhaven website, but the only thing I can find for EZ Server is a PHPBB forum and it's not even working.

It's okay. Just go through the setup and when you look at the server list you'll see all of them anyway. Just log on and check some out

I'm having way more fun with this than I expected I would. It took me a little while to figure out what I was doing wrong, but after I asked around in OOC why I had to sit and regen after each fight, they explained to me about these newfangled things called Augments (which apparently are very old, but new to me). Once I augmented my weapons and a couple pieces of armor, I was up to 16K health and hitting between 600-1500 on mobs, and my health regen was insane.

I managed to take down old Venril on my 3rd attempt. That bastard would mez me for like 2 minutes and just beat me down!

I then proceeded to Plane of Fear but Dracoliche roflstomped me when I got like 7 adds on me. I'll get him yet!

It's been so long since I've played EQ that I forgot how little button spam there is during combat, at least on my Monk. Maybe I'm still doing something wrong, but all I do during combat is turn on auto attack and hit Flying Kick whenever it's up. I'm only level 55, but is there more abilities I should be using?
