+17 Internets | there's only one expansion, Core Combat, and its pretty empty. I dunno how the game is now, i played on and off during august for the free month, I'm guessing population went back to shit Sept 1st.

+15 Internets | Those giant battles were kinda fun but got boring pretty quickly for me, and were really easy to bypass. You could have a 300 person tri-way bridge battle and still sneak in 10 guys through the back door from a high galaxy drop and hack the base if you were organized and had advanced meds. Then leave a weak defense at the CC and go blow the respawn tubes because less than half the people who would retake a CC had the knowhow to recognize it was the tubes that needed fixing, making that room much easier to defend than CC as you slowly killed the enemy by attrition. Another good strategy was consistently send a couple stealthers to hit every point, CC, generator, and tubes, because once the fight at that spot was over everyone bailed, so you wasted a ton of their time and manpower hunting lone stealthers. Best strategy I ever saw (and most frustrating moment in the game for me) was a TR squad of like 10 guys successfully guarding a tower for 2+ hours against 100+ of us NC even though we owned the bottom floor aka the respawn tubes. They had a perfectly balanced squad with around 2 adv medics and a handful of the OP planted grenade & chaingun maxes and just resed anyone who died. I tried for 2 hours to organize people to IGNORE THE GODDAMN MAXES and zerg the medics. I multiple times sprinted up alone, past the maxes that were useless once you got behind them and killed one of the 2 medics before I died, but I could never get that 2nd one, and all I needed was one guy out of the 100 to join me and take out the other medic and we'd take it. Game was night and day playing with an organized group and not. Unfortunately my organized group had a "leader" who was only a leader because he wanted the command points and sucked at leading. What killed the game for me was lack of hitboxes and lack of good people to play with. Was so fun to get 10 solid people and turn the tide of a 300 person battle, and really not hard, but most people just wanted to attack the frontline and die in 20 seconds. |

| Bad ping is indeed a big problem for Euros. I have an average ping of 120 and from time to time I simply drop dead, because hits "add" up on me out of nowhere. Also I keep catching hits after moving behind a wall. AA doesn't lock as smooth and so on. Very frustrating... Overall Gemini is playing out nicely as we finally got the big battles back and it continues even after the free period. Finding an active and good squad is not so easy though as most people don't care for organized stuff and just play to get kills. For some reason I get the feeling that the lower ranked players are looking to contribute while the experienced guys tend to give a shit and rather mind their own business.

| How much of that is bad ping and how much is (intentional or not) abuse of the ZeroPing algorithms? When I quit playing if some jackoff on a tin-can and string connection to the middle of Siberia saw me, as long as I was on his screen, all his shots would hit (baring the CoF Auto-miss Technology of course). Same as if they had ways of intentionally dropping packets. Get into a contested tower, pull the plug once you've got a good number of targets on screen, gank them all, put it back in, get slaughtered but watch them all keel over too as the server applies all the damage.

| Ok, I don't have any experience with stuff like that. What I can say is that we did have a few cheaters as of late. There was an issue with flying invulnerable MAXs and there was a guy who played the Maelstrom in god-mode.

| The Littlest Hobo of MMOs | Should have done it before the free month to be honest and they'd have maybe tempted a few more people to return. Instead, most people who logged in as TR and NC promptly logged back out after getting repeatedly gibbed by OP VS lasher squads. |
