| This movie will be worse than Blood Rayne.

It is the worst movie ever, from the dialogue to the scenery to the special effects to the (over-dramatic) acting. Sure, it's not a videogame movie, but unless you've seen that train wreck, you don't know how enjoyable a Super Mario Bros. or Mortal Kombat was. As for the WoW movie, I'm uninterested. I forsee it as a way to pay lip-service to the casual players, resulting in enough success to be profitable. |

+1 Internets | This movie could be great if it was just 2 hours of poking fun at the stupid shit we do in WoW. It would be classic if during the final climactic battle with whichever baddie they choose the party leader dies and everyone just piles together to die so they can just try it again and save time. Bonus points if someone vanishes and strips naked. But they will probably be serious, and it will be a generic fantasy movie with a couple nods to the WoW players. |

Mortal Kombat (August 18, 1995) Silent Hill (April 21, 2006) Only two worth watching.

| I think they severely overestimate the population of WoW that would see this movie. Ok lets say there are still 10 mil subscriptions, which I'd think is bogus right now since China made up half their sub base -- but lets go with that. Ok so it is a well known fact Chinese people do not pay for anything they don't have to. In other words WoW:The Movie would be on every street corner being bootlegged the instant it hit bittorrent. Now we are down to 5 mil. Lets assume these are all in decent enough countries to not sell the bootlegs on the street corner and these are all legit ticket buyers. Now lets say half of this population is over 18 and recognizes this movie will blow some serious nutsacks but they also don't care. So lets say 1/2 of the population of the over 18 sees the movie. It is also a well known fact anyone who plays WoW does not have friends so all of these people go alone. The kids under 18 will, naturally, all see the movie. However it is a well known fact that any non-college kid has friends but likewise their only friends also play WoW. So basically we're looking at maybe 3.5-4mil sales. |

| Fuck, as long as there is a Bruce Campbell cameo, this movie will be awesome!

| Your logic is infallible in a world where people don't intentionally see terrible movies for the comedic value. If you saw the new Street Fighter, Dragonball, Push, or any other legendarily bad blockbuster in the last year under any other pretense you probably need a psych evaluation. Don't kid yourself, a WoW movie would sell like a motherfucker. The only difference between it and the others listed above is a wider name recognition base by a factor of about 10,000. |

| Mortal Kombat was so trashy, this made the movie actually good. It is not like you watch it and say "wow this is great quality", its the total opposite. |

I am kind of dubious though, it's a video game movie, and they almost unfailingly suck. The only way I'd have a little more faith in it is if they were doing an animated movie using the same team that did the WC3 cut scenes and intros, but they take years just to do 5 or 10 minutes of those for each game, so not happening I guess ![]() | |
