For 80+ the only zone being reused are heroic modes for deadmines/sfk, by popular demand. The leveling zones/instances are Hyjal, maelstrom, uldum, etc. The raids are the ele planes.

Of course the 1-60 zones are being redone to allow flying, plus show the passage of time + the effects of the cataclysm. Azshara is the 1-15 goblin area, and also they appear to be making the leveling path more linear by shifting level ranges around.

Anyway, just helping the tl;dr crowd.

Given the whole look of Gilneas (and the reported NPC accents), at least one /silly had better reference this

Still wish it was a proper sword rather than an axe. I'm tired of BiS axes.

And Ysera has always backed her. If/when the Emerald Dream expansion happens - we're probably "free/cleanse" her rather than kill her.
Ya, Alexstrasza and Ysera are good guys, although Ysera might be under assault from Old Gods. Alexstrasza dying would likely be some manner of sacrifice, ya.

Although then again, when the well gets dry...

I agree with Grizzlebeard, they need to make goblins a much cooler race, because visually they're basically what you get if you cross gnomes with trolls. Guess what the least played race will be?
It's going to be god damn embarrassing when they release Worgen with TWO high polygon models each and unique druid forms, and troll females are left with the same unblinking, unmoving meth stare.

Not a fan of this change, did they really need to make the progression even more linear than it already was?

I think you are confusing "making it more linear" with "not requiring you to travel halfway across the world every 10 levels". They are not removing zones; there will still be 3-4 zones to choose from for every level range. They are just making it easier to get from one level range to the next.

I understand that, but was taking a 10 minute gryphon flight every 5-10 levels really such a huge problem? I will withhold judgment till I play through it, I just don't see the reason for it. I never minded occasionally flying through zones I've already outleveled in order to get to a new area, gives me a sense of how far I've progressed. Reasonably mixing up content difficulty lends to the integrity of the world, so that I don't feel as though I'm entirely on tracks. It can also be cool to see interesting content you're not ready for while leveling up, and come back for it later. I'm sure I'll be outnumbered on this, but it's just my personal opinion, not saying it's correct for everyone.

Come on now, Vanilla WoW wasn't like that. The amount of travelling around some of the quest lines was ridiculous..

Oh yeah..that scholomance key...head over to the other side of the world to chat to a goblin..then head to another zone (ungoro)..then back...

Linken? Oh yeah...go to winterspring..then ferelas...then tanaris...then ungoro..then felwood...etc etc...

Even 'normal' quests (ie not chain ones) were like that..for example the egg/feather ones from Ferelas and Tanaris requiring you to go to the hinterlands.

The zones were too wide in level as well, so you simply couldn't go to one zone and complete it.

A revamp of all of this would be welcome in my book.
