You don't even need to do that really. Just add lattices, balance the fucking budget and you're good to go.

Debuff that stacks the longer the generals are not in combat.

Pugs will take forever to get there, so he'll hit like a gimp and die easy.
Premades will deal with RAEP generals.
If you manage to wipe the raid while they're killing him, you make the next attempt harder and buy your side time to fight back.

That's actually a pretty interesting idea.

So what exactly are you getting with this expansion that's new apart from the two races and their starting areas? I'm not talking a few extra talent points or the ability to play a blood elf warrior. New raid instances or is it going to be Naxxed up MC and BWL?

So I doubt respec will effect that since it appears to be just an alternate form of leveling, so to speak.
The various elements that come from Path of the Titans and Archaelogy seem to indicate the following system:

1) You choose one path among 6, you are limited to that path. You can "respec" out of it (presumably, recovering the Ancient Glyphs, see below)

2) That path provides passive benefits, both in stats / utility / customization

3) Each path is arranged in successive tiers, with "talent-like" slots

4) Archaelogy acts as both a harvesting, crafting, and questing system all rolled in one. It has a unique interface, and does not use bag space at all.

5) As an archaelogist, you will find archaelogy nodes (similar to usual harvesting), usually tied to ruins or dungeons. You can harvest those nodes to find generic or specific data/artefacts.

6) You then combine some of those "data" and get special benefits (cosmetic artefact, or special ability, like the ability to teleport directly to a dungeon because you know it "well")

7) At end of skill (525?) you can combine some of the data into Ancient Glyphs. You then use these Ancient Glyphs to activate the talent slots of your path of choice.

8) They hinted at various levels of glyphs, depending on content tiers, but told us that everyone could get every talent. From that, I think it's hinted that each talent in the path is, in fact, a ranked talent. You would presumably get "trivial" Ancient Glyphs to activate the 1st rank of talent (harvested outdoors?), then "minor" Glyphs (from normal dungeons) for 2nd rank, "classic" glyphs (heroic dungeons) for 3rd rank, and so on... relatively unclear on the concept (I'm sure they aren't exactly sure either, it's probably about as well defined as Inscription was at the time).

New raid instances. I think the only actual raid dungeon they're re-using any time soon is Onyxia's Lair, and that's for 3.2.2. There is going to be a new dungeon with Nef in it based on BWL, though.

Why would they bring nef back, we killed him like 100 times. The whole Naxx thing had at least some tenuous logic behind it, with the phylactery and them all being undead and shit, bringing nef back is just retarded

Sounds a bit like WoW's version of the Horadic Cube.

Blackrock Caverns

* Blackrock Caverns is an entirely new instance located inside Blackrock Mountains. It was a good occasion to reinvent a fan favorite.
* It is now an off-site base for Deathwing and it's now occupied by the Twilight's Hammer. You will find out why the Twilight's Hammer is here and what they want here.
* It will feature new art, loot, and creatures. The Beast still lurks ...

Blackwing Descent (Raid)

* Nefarian will return in this instance. This is an entirely new raid inspired by the original Blackwing lair with new loot, new art, new creatures.

The Firelands (Raid)

* The Firelands is the Elemental Plane of fire. You will fight Ragnaros again here and you will finally fight him at his full strength.

2 of these(Blackwing Descent and Firelands) are raid, the other is a 5man. They're also doing old world heroics they said, SFK and Deadmines heroics.

So yeah, lots of reused content. 4raids announced total at launch though.

Hopefully they do Blackrock Caverns in the old style and don't just make it another shitty generic hallway - room - boss x3 wings instance. Their 5 man design philosophy has kind of sucked ass in BC and WOTLK.

The masochist in me secretly hopes that month long farming of FR gear will make a comeback.

The real question is....WILL THE FR BUFF FROM UBRS STILL WORK? (Will UBRS still be there?)

The FR buff only worked for extreme terribles and probably Alliance in the first place, though,

It was good for undergeared tanks on vael, and arguably red/black on nef(even though usually you could just switch tanks sides and shit). Wasn't worth it on most active pvp servers though, half the time you'd have to fight a full raid when getting the buff.
