| I have to ask in all seriousness, if they're going to put in x-realm dungeons, then why not just go all out and just allow free travel between servers? Does the concept of 'servers' as seperate entities matter at that point? If all of the meaningful content in the game is cross-server, then why not just remove the constraints and go all out in converting the game to a BNet system where you log in, select a character, then select a server? I'm not being sarcastic, or trolling on the whole 'COMMUNITY' debate, I'm just curious as to whether anybody actually sees any real function for the concept of seperate 'servers' at that point? If it's about freedom and conveniance then why not go the whole way? Hell, do what guild wars did and turn the cities into hubs, graphical community chat rooms where you can access guild recruitment, LFG, auction houses, battlegrounds, etc. Then when you zone out into the game world you select a server and load onto it. The game has been slowly moving towards that point for years, why not just go the whole way? The only issue I see would be the loss of the income Blizzard make from charging for server transfers, but they'd still make profit from name changes/recustomization/race changes. +6 Internets | I hope to god this X server LFG shindig allows us to have X server friend list so we can form our little elitist FOH group list and never group with droooling fgts again.

That being said, I imagine it's a launching platform for cross server chat channels and all that other goodness EQ had. I think it'll really help expand the community as I have friends that play on like 8 different servers and while we hang out in IRC together just fine, not everyone has that option.

| Can we ditch the unnecessary restrictions then like being unable to link items in a chat channel I made myself or not being able to even join the LFG channel without picking a zone/raid/dungeon to be LFG for? |

| Keep in mind that the cross-server dungeons will very likely only work with servers on the same datacenter. If your character is on one of the Boston servers, you wouldn't be able to play with a buddy's character from the LA, Dallas, or Seattle servers etc... Heck, they might even confine it even further like Battlegroups. I must say though that I'm looking forward to having an easier time finding a group during the really late hours.

| I'm a bit skeptical as to some of the overhauls for 4.0. Balance exists on a fine, fine line and putting even some small amount of imbalance on one side snowballs into all sorts of hell. Completely reworking every single talent tree is just going to be chaos. First season of 4.0 some class(es) are going to be just downright ridiculous because blizzard didn't think far enough ahead as to the effect putting 76 points into one tree and stacking the fuck out of mastery does. New glyphs (from what I could read of them, which wasn't much) just seems like the newest grind, then again 5 levels are taken off the initial grind so maybe it evens out. Alot of cool things seem planned and I giggle at the thought of a worgen warrior for the alliteration if nothing else but I really, really, really hope they learn from mistakes of years past and not make gigantic changes without massive testing and for the love of christ please no new massively op abilities. PS: They said they were redoing racials to be more like goblins/worgen. Considering the 2 both have very good racials I'm wondering if this means they're being buffed when people already bitch about half the racials in the game being too strong already. |

| Is this the earliest they have given such massive details on an expansion months away? I really like all the changes, sounds cool. However, now I am completely unenthuasiastic about playing the game until the expansion I can't see any way staying in the game until Icecrown, TOTC is so fucking boring and dumb.Maybe TBC/WOTLK was the same, but I don't remember so many details being given out. |

Also they said they were going to go with diminishing returns on dumping talents into a single tree. And Path of the Titans won't be much of a grind as they said it's heavily gated and you can only do so much per week.
