+5 Internets | Also, I'm pretty sure that the attunement quest for BWL was implemented when BWL went live. I never remember having to zone into BWL from UBRS. It was only MC that you ever needed 40 people to march through a non-40man instance to reach, and even then I think they didn't remove the instance cap until after the attunement quest was introduced (not 100% sure of this, though). |

+39 Internets | Yeah MC entrance was in BRD, and they added the attunement quest the same patch they capped instances to 5man(or in UBRS case, 15man). BWL had the attunement quest the moment it was created so you never needed to use the door(unless you had 2guilds camping the orb then you could go in UBRS 15 at a time into bwl ^^). |

+1 Internets | No the jump-through-the-window brd attunement was as it should have been. The problem arose when people would jump through the window whilst lagged out or whatever and would end up in the lava even though they had attunement(poor coding?). It happened to everyone at least once hehe. To solve this problem Blizz let people zone into MC by clicking the NPC next to the window. It's fixed now I believe. |

| Just went through the archives of mmo-champ. Boubouille called Diablo 3 openly on the front page before it was announced at WWI, I DO think he has insider info, at least in the form of "is this rumor true?" "Yes/no". He doesn't show it in the open, but when some rumor is posted on the front page, he was spot on every single time. |

| Def some good times. People used to raid Scholo and we 1 grouped it really early on and finished the quest line. I was the only alch with the transmute to essence of air, which was the only method of getting it, and it was used for a weapon enchant so I made some sick gold with it. |

| At the moment, with all the rumours I just don't see the 'hook' for the expansion. For TBC: It was Pally/Sham (which for a lot of people was the equivalent of an extra class) and flying mounts. For WOTLK: It was DKs (obviously) and vehicle combat. For 'Cataclysm'...is a overhaul of old world going to do it? Are worgen/goblins and the new class/race combos enough? I'm not convinced. Rerolling though old/new content doesn't add up to much of of a hook, nor flying in old world really. If these rumours are true, and I expect at least a lot of them are, I hope there's more. At least it solves one problem....running back to old world to train and AH...that was just getting silly. Last edited by Starsailor; 08-16-2009 at 02:22 PM.. |

+9 Internets | I hope the rumors are true. I never understood the need to keep adding new continents/worlds (I'm looking at you, EQ) with every expansion. If you've got a solid, fleshed-out world, why not change and update? It provides new places for people to explore while retaining a bit of nostalgia, lets questmakers work with and expand on their already-developed characters and questlines, and most importantly, makes your world seem alive and dynamic. I haven't played EQ in a while, but I bet those skeletons in Overthere are still building those ships. That's just stupid. Personally I really like Azeroth and the characters of the Warcraft universe. I would much rather keep exploring them instead of venturing to some, unheard of place. |

Phasing makes this no longer relevant, though. Or maybe they think they are so good at making quests that they want to redo the leveling experience. If they ever do remake the old world, I hope that they at least phase it so we can go back in time to visit what we have now. There is some cool stuff worth keeping. | |

+4 Internets | That might be Blizzard's thinking too. Once Arthas is down they can "gamble" on new territory, or play it safe and reskin the old world. Personally I hope they don't because I had enough of Onyxia, Molten Core, Wailing Caverns and all the rest before the Burning Crusade. Where exactly is the line going to be drawn, will they move Naxxramas back to Plaguelands so we can raid it again? Why not just reset everyone back to level 1 and have done with it so we can redo all the content again? |

+39 Internets | There's remaking content and remaking content, the way they did naxx was for example pretty fucking lazy since there's like less than 10things that changed(besides obvious stats adjustements). I could dig a full reskin/rework of old content though, hell always said it when they were making cot shit, I definitely would like to do AQ20's Ossirian and AQ40's Chtun again. I guess chtun won't happen since they did yogg, but still no ossirian and that fight was pretty fun imo. Also some of the old world instances are really good, if they were reworked, like sunken temple, uldaman, brd and brs. They'd definitely want new content mixed in, but I wouldn't mind doing a new WC if it involves new AI mechanics, new fights, new mobs and new graphics. Basically like a real new dungeon, but using WC theme(well WC isn't the best example, always found the whole story behind it retarded, Deadmines was much better). New races/classes combo is good too, hell if they can they just should have all races be all classes and be done with it. I mean you could argue by now, in the lore, most races have had enough contact with others to be able to master the subtelties of the classes. Can't say I'm as interested in hearing about 4.0 than I am about the new game they're making though, even with the prenotes and shit. |
