Apart from that what issues are there though, there are some unfinished zones, but I would expect an expansion returning to Azeroth would fill in and utilize those zones.

The only reason at all I can see for not already having made Azeroth fly-ready is the missing zones, but those could be made into barren wastelands like Crystalsong Forest if needed. It simply just seems like something Blizzard doesn't want to invest time in.
We are talking about rebulding the whole world from scratch, they pretty much filled it with zones that resemble the map by shape and did nothing else.

MapWoW.com World of Warcraft Maps

Look at this and they would have to redo the zones/change the map in like 70% of the world, not to mention, without adding new content it would look pretty dull. What is supposed to be at the southern edge of Un'Goro ? How does Ahn'Qiraj look from the top down view ? We know it's a city buried in sand, but some of it has to show up. And they never finished it.

Then you have Winterspring etc etc.

And Eastern Kingdoms are even worse.

I don't see them doing it in the current state of things.

I quit back during BC but what exactly is "Phasing"? Is it a way for 2 people to both be in say a city like Org but see different buildings/ structures/ NPCs etc?

Exactly. It's so the quests you do can "change" the world you see.

In a way, yes. It's basically a change of zone features that happens after you complete some steps of a quest, you go back to do the hand in and the next time you visit the area, you'll find it more or less changed.

For example there is a quest in Icecrown that asks you to free Crusader Pinnacle which is barren with ruins of what was a small encampment of the Argent Crusade, once you complete it and fly back to do the hand in, the area changes and you get a flight path, a tower with a couple vendors and a new quest hub.

It's a great way to change the world around the players.

Am I the only one who'd love to see phasing implemented for instances? Instead of zoning in you just phase into the same copy as your group. A small thing, but it'd do a whole lot of good for making the world feel seamless and connected.

They could pull off what Plane of War in EQ could have been with that basically. You have your parts of the phase where you are doing your usual instance chores but then you come into a massive battle phase from time to time and other players are in there on top of NPCs. Would be at least once cool thing they could do with it.

Blizzard clearly doesn't have enough time to devote to this as it would take away from time devoted to tweaking the arena system into its most shittiest form ever.

This will turn the engineer class into something useful as well.

I'm somewhat torn by this as I would like both to be horde races.

I wanted to be a worgen. We already have orc's and they look close enough to goblins unless they are planning on the goblins being short like dwarfs.

Do you even play the game? Every goblin in it is as short of shorter then Gnomes.

And here's my vote for any new race to function as the hero class did and allow you to start at higher level.

I'm sacrificing children to my extra planar gods for even the minute possibility of goblin druids. Little green moonkin ftw.

I guess that's why they removed the removed the Worgen pet? The other bugged pets they left in, but just kept any further Hunters from getting them.
