I've read Conan stories for decades and was really looking forward to a great time RP'ing in this world. That failed due to the crappy game design, bald-faced lying (like, almost Paul Barnett level) by devs, complete non-enforcement of the RP/naming policy on the RP-PvP server, and the fact that pretty much every "RP" guild on said server was really a "cyber-sex" guild in disguise.

I'd pay real money for a well-run RP server of AoC, even in its current state. It would also be joyous to find a role-playing guild that is filled with mature, intelligent adults that are actually getting laid in RL and don't need to pollute the game world with their desperation (this applies mostly to the "bored housewife" and FUCCV [Fat Ugly College Chick Virgin] bitch types).

I just picked up the trial and I'm checking it out. For far, so good. Didn't know what class to pick so I chose Bear Shaman. The combat system is pretty cool with the combos. Hopefully, I can enjoy this game. This might be a good distraction until Diablo 3.

Bear Shaman ever get decent? I know at release they were kinda shit in pvp; couldnt kill anybody and couldnt heal well enough.

Also; how the fuck are demonologists? What the fuck are they even in this game? I've fallen in love with the 'lock demo tree, so it sticks out to me.

From what I hear Bear Shamans are pretty good in PvP, I think Guardians might be one of the best classes. But I'm reading old reviews, so things might have changed a lot.

I might be interested in giving this a spin just to kill some time, but I'm not going to bother downloading the trial if there's like 12 people online at primetime.

After loving the game in beta, then seeing it was a fake bill of goods I was sold, I think I'll let it bake for a bit longer before having interest.

Let me know when it actually has an endgame with depth and fun, and when there's proof items and stats are actually working, and the bugs are mostly gone.

Bear Shamans were fucking great early on when melee was so imbalanced that it ruined pvp and everybody quit.

Anyway, great patch. I wish they would have released it like a year ago when people were still playing the game.
