It's actually not showing everything. The full text pretty much tells the story. Paladin was showing up late or not at all, so I found new Paladin. For the most part, anytime I start to type something random in guild chat, it's safe to assume I'm about to make an example out of someone.

It's buried in a reply to someone about block but this particular line caught my eye :

Maybe I've been captain blind but I don't recall reading about a 3 major patch cycle for this expansion before?

I guess that puts paid to the thought that there would be yet another troll dungeon this time unless it turns out that Arthas is King Of The Trolls! (I'm sure Rusty Makata and SamDaMegansLawMan would have something to say about that though...)

3 patchs also makes the timeframes between patchs and expansion more a cause of wonder, will they really stick to 2 years and have just one major patch during 2010 or will Maelstrom arrive earlier than expected?

For one "throwaway" comment that reply seemed to open up a ton more questions to me. However if this is all common knowledge already feel free to point to where it's said before and laugh at me!

After fighting a dozen bosses and mountains upon mountains of trash, you finally arrive and the lich king's throne only to find a troll waiting for you that says,"Hey Mon, the Lich king be head'n to the Maelstrom. He be seeing you next expansion." He will then proceed to summon and kill you with two dark blue spheres.

He will also have a bear, eagle and an olympic mascot to aid in killing you while calling for every boss that has not been killed to also help.

This could be absolute BS, but there was a player in my guild who said he saw a post where a Blue actually posted something along the lines of "hey hey hey, wait a minute.. we never actually said you'd fight arthas in this expansion." Again, could be totally false, I couldn't find a post about it.

Well, if we don't fight Arthas in Wrath of the fucking Lich King, where we ski into Mordor, where he built himself a nice and cozy hut, it would be so much of an epic fail that the internet may explode.

I'm sure they could for once have the final boss admit defeat and gtfo to lick Azshara ass and ask for help, but Arthas is too badass for that, right?

Arthas will either die or be redeemed (I vote for option two), then Ner'Zhul will spawn from Arthas bad-inner-self, just like we cleaned our inner self in Howling Fjord at level 71.
At that point Arthas will join the cause and help us fight Ner'Zhul together with Bolvard Foredragon and Young Saurfang and from the sky Alexstrasza will come down burping fire (which will spawn flowers on the ground), while Krasus will fap heavily at his queen going apeshit.

The third Old God will then fart and the expected Cataclysm that will change the face of Azeroth forever will happen right after (but through Caverns of time you'll be able to go back in the old Azeroth).

We'll be sent in some fucked up underwater city, where we will ride extremely fast seals or we'll ride fellow druids in aquatic form maybe (druids cannot ride other druids, that would be too much of a discovery channel thing) and try to shut down forever the well of eternity, but as it always happens to true heros, our first epic assignement will be to gather 20 fish scales from those nasty blackmouths that keep stealing the plancton and we'll be rewarded with a piece of armor that will make a nice flower pot as that will be all its usefulness.

There will also be an underwater arena, but then warlocks will be nerfed because the glyph of underwater breathing gives them an unfair advantage.

I'd love to read Zehn's idea for the pre-launch event of "Cataclysm" (if it's even something wow-related), he's really a lot better than me at this.
