Thats the only thing I'm mad about since I quit 4 months ago... I spent all that time doing the world events for that violet drake and now nothing. Oh well, its ugly anyways.

Plagued protodrake etc was removed after items grew by 13 ilvls (26 ilvl if you count hm loot).

Loot has grown by at least that much already and there are much more people wearing ilevel 245s now than back at 226 level because ulduar was actually not a welfare kitchen giving handouts....

part of the reason they are still in is there would be no other raiding 310 mounts avail.

I completely disagree. I think the real reason is blizzard knows how bad this patch is and thus need to give the timmays a carrot. Or else everyone would be in full ilevle 245s in 4 weeks and go on their "break".

They're intentionally leaving it in so that the timmays can smack their heads at that meta and see a glimmer of hope at getting it. And don't be surprised it still takes like 4 weeks for retards with full 245s to get the achivements.

There are so many rusted drakes magically appearing on servers now that everyone is stacked to the rafters in 245s.

A guy in my guild has 4 characters with rusted proto drake. Its stupid easy to get now, 2-3 guilds are selling it to anyone for 15-20k gold. With decked out 245/258 chars, stuff like firefighter is dumb.

I bet 3.3 will come with the amazingly innovative feature that if you have any 310% mount, ALL your flying mounts become 310%, otherwise pretty much 30-50% of any server are always going to be on violet, rusted, or glad mounts.

And of course 4.2 or so will finally bring in the ability for mounts to be BOA, so you can take the ZA war bears, ironbound drakes, etc from your old dead raiding characters and move them to your goblins and worgens.

Top alt had 210 at the end of day one. You had three hours when it started to do all the dailies prior to reset so you could do them again that day, all the one-off quests, and you could do the barrel run twice. If you know how to do the barrel run, that's a ton of tokens right there.

10 from defending versus the Dark Iron daily, 15 from the advertising daily, and 50-ish from doing the barrel run twice per day (assuming you know to gallop and use apple barrels, you can do better but I'm allowing for lag and random screw-ups). 75 per day. One set of clothing is 350, Brew club is 200, goggles are 100, pet is 100. 10 days of dailies, not counting any of the initial tokens you got from quests like Pink Elekks. It lasts for 14 days. I don't think a completionist could get multiple sets of clothes, but they can certainly get one of everything interesting if they so choose.

Probably not. I hadn't saved any (that I know of) from last year, I just figured the guild mate who got the achievement right away had, but he had probably completed everything he could last year as Sean pointed out.

you can trade tickets in for tokens. i had like 200 tickets already and the hat/boots/keg already, so bought tunic, danced, returned tunic to vendor. got membership, turned that in, collected dark pink protodrake.
