Used a leveling guide once and was surprised at how many quests I didn't even know about. Like the burned down inn at the entrance to dustwallow that has 3? really quick/easy ones I'd end up just skipping on my first two characters on my way to pick up first aid.

Weren't those just added with the revamp of dustwallow? with the addition of extra quests + the goblin hub.

No, they existed long before, it's just who the fuck actually quested in Dustwallow? Normally I'd get a quest to send me out there and that shit would be deleted instantly.

I knew about them from back in beta. I knew pretty much all the quests when I lvled my first char, but a leveling guide makes organizing the whole thing easier since you just follow instructions. When I leveled in vanilla it was pretty tiring having to remember of every little tricks like turn-in rotation and which quests to make sure to take before I moved to another zone and so on.

Anyway get tourguide and questhelper for leveling, fuck guides it's so much easier just following ingame addons.

Dude, you didn't know about those? They were essential for leveling quickly in Vanilla. I was 15th level 60 worldwide, I should know.

Wait, fuck...

Protadins make prot warriors like me cry. Just ask any healer if its easier to heal a Similarly geared Protadin vs Warrior.

Wait, fuck...
More like you were the 18th on your server and the 17th was 15th worldwide, which is why you're not on the rankings pages.

But dustwallow didn't have many quests so finding those wasn't hard if you ever thottbotted the zone. I didn't actually find them during beta, it's just that when I got to the lvl range for the zone, I went there, used thottbot search for horde quests, and then just did everything in there. Getting 40eyes from the spiders in the mine, crafting a shitty sword, getting some spices from thunderbluff, killing some stealthing elves, escorting a stupid orgre and getting jumped by 5 NPCs at the same time at the end, hunting the named roaming crocodile and the fucking whelps/elite drake quests. Dustwallow was a whole piece of sh...fun. It's pretty decent nowadays though.

I did cause it was the end of the Defias questline.

That burnt inn was always there, but wasn't finished. You found 3 items in the inn which gave marginal quest xp and after that, poof, end of questline.

Actually some parts had more, there was already the acid to get from spiders for the shield, then you'd bring it to thunderbluff and end of questline. Another was ogre escort one, ended up with killing the human guy.

I don't think they ever finished them either, last time I went through it was still the same I think? Forgot when I did though, might have been on an alliance char so didn't get those.

Yeah that zone sucked dick.

And I think 00100112 was making fun of Mippo but my sarcasm radar is down today so you may or may not be sarcastic as well

Sadly I got a negative for this, when it was my own impersonation of mippo, since that's basically what he was saying(the reason he wasn't 15th worldwide is because he was 16th but it was cut at 15th but the 15th was the guy who dinged just before him on his server so he's obviously 16th and the rankings were biased and he had access to the pro hunter channel and sean didn't, etc...)

a druid in my old guild did some quest line there (horde side, was pre 1.5) and due to a bugged item id, got the legendary item needed to summon Thunderaan before BWL was released and so he got the world first thunderfury
shows how much they cared about dustwallow as a questing/leveling area for a loong time
