Oh. Strictly ilvl 10 man Crusader normal yields better loot than 25 man/10 man hard Uld.

So how are the chances of a successful PuG 25-normal raid for the new raid instance ? (with full naxx 25 gear at best)

Sorry I have 1 more question: Is the entire instance out today or just the 1st boss or two? I have heard different things. Blizz does sometimes unlock a few bosses every week.

Probably very low first week since nobody knows the fights, by the 3d or 4th week pugs should be good to go since they will have a lot of alts of guilds who are killing bosses. Remember as well the 10/25 man bosses are only getting unlocked one/week.

just to add to the table above:

new 5 man regular: 200 (epic)
naxx10: 200 (213 KT)
new 5 man heroic: 213
naxx25: 213 (226 KT)
ulduar 10: 219
ulduar 10 hard mode: 226 gear, 232 weapons (1/boss, rest is 219)
ulduar 25: 226
coliseum 10: 232 (gear+weps)
ulduar 25 hard mode: 239 (1/boss, rest is 226)
coliseum 10 hard: 245
coliseum 25: 245
coliseum 25 hard: 258


There will be more of a drive to run coliseum in all 4 configs every week, since there are so few sources of triumph badges and all the new crafted gear requires badge->new orb conversion.

Re: bosses, the understanding is that both 10 and 25 man raids are only unlocking ONE boss every week. You must complete the non-heroic versions of the raid to unlock the heroic (hard mode) raids. So until week 5, not a single person is going to be doing hard modes.

Wrong. Hard modes won't be available for 5 weeks.

Finally the patched has arrived. Can't wait to see my new cat/bear forms. Hopefully there will be new tree/moonkin forms in the future. I know ferals received a slight dps nerf, no big deal though. I just wish they would make their rotations easier.

Yeah, it's exactly backwards. But the correct # is 4 weeks. 4 unlockings for 5 bosses total (Northrend Beasts, Faction Champions, Lord Jaraxxus, Twins, Anub'arak) We get 1 normal mode boss per week, starting with the Northrend Beasts encounter. Each week after, one is unlocked. If, on week 5 (4 weeks from today) you clear the entire instance without wiping a certain # of times (I believe it's 50) then you finish it and can do heroic mode. Heroic mode has all the bosses available immediately, but they are significantly harder, and the loot you get is related to the # of wipes. One-shot it and everyone gets charger mounts.

And I don't think this instance is going to be very pug friendly. The first boss is three bosses, which you don't get to rez between, so if you let DPS die on the first boss or two the third one is going to enrage. The second encounter is similar to the arena encounter in MgT and probably a lot harder and more comparable to Razorgore in its ability to eat pugs.

I still say the badge value of T9 armor is retarded. Put the fucking tokens back already. I don't want to have to farm a heroic dungeon every day just to get my raid armor in a timely fashion.

BTW I see all this QQ about T9 badges. Can you explain that? Does badges + 1 piece of T9 won't drop off a boss? Like will at least one person be able to get a T9 item when a boss is killed or does everyone in the raid have to clooect stuff? Sorry I am unclear in how this will work. I keep hearing different explainations.
