You might underestimate the willpower of retards who have been doing argent crusade dailies for 4 months and have a shitload of money with nothing to buy. Epic gems will sell. Will the demand outstrip the supply of all the JC's since everyone is one now? I highly doubt it. But, make no mistake, people will buy epic gems.

anyone getting a weird message saying the patch was not applied? never ran into that and writing on message boards and facerolling my mage is all i can do on a computer

Run launcher.exe as administrator (if you use vista) worked like a charm for me.

thanks, for some reason i wasnt using the launcher, which would explain why the patch never downloaded correctly, appreciate the help

The biggest demand this week imo is going to be for titanium ore, since JC's will want to grab as many patterns as possible and titanium ore nets you gems+dust. I have ~50 stacks of ore I've saved up, gonna try to dump as much as I can this week since I am sure prices will go down over time.

Epic gems on the other hand I don't think will be a money maker, I think its going to be a case of every 5 mins someone new logging in, learning the red gem patterns, trading in some badges/honor/etc, and undercutting. The gem market on the AH is just going to be a mess, with a much greater supply than demand the first week. Once season 7 starts and more guilds are farming the new raids, then the demand will re-balance of course, but that may be a few weeks away. I will convert my current badge stock to gems, why the hell not, but probably will end up just banking them for a while and just drizzle it out slowly.

Question regarding xp in BGs - If I have, say, a vanilla WoW account, with fully naxx/AQ40 geared mage that I like to dick around in AV with - I won't have to do the xp turn off quest, as I don't get xp, so, can I hypothetically go shit on every scrub 50+ player lvling up?

You still earn xp without the xpack iirc. It is just that leveling up past 62 without the new content is near impossible. So you would have to turn off the xp gained in bgs.

I would guess that he started buying as soon as the first draft of the 3.2 patch notes were out and therefore was able to stock up long before the rabble was hip to what was going on.

I have a question thought: What instance has better loots than say 10 man ulduar hard mode loots/25 man ulduar loots? I know there is a 5 man, 5 man heroic, 10 man, 10 man heroic, 25 man and 25 man heroic. I am guessing the 10 and 25 man heroic loots are definitely better but is the regular 10 man loots better than Ulduar 25 man gear? Basically at what point does your gear get outdated? If it is 5 man heroic or normal 10 man that is pretty sad.

Eh. There are some Uld 10 Hard loots that are better than Uld 25 but on the whole Uld 25 loot is better because it's dropping more of the better loot.

Both drop some pre-3.2 BiS's but Uld 25 yields better loot as a whole.
