| Sure you can. Start with 5000 SBV. Glyph of Blocking is 5500, Shield Block is 11000. So the live version of Shield Slam does 11000 + 1000 or 12000. Then multiply by Imp DS, (13200) 1HS, (14520) Gag Order, (15972) Impale, (19167) and Imp Disarm. (21084) How get Hysteria or TotT from your teammate and it's 25301, doubled for a crit is 50602. Sure it requires blowing trinkets and CD stacking but when it's a guaranteed unstoppable one-shot, who cares? Last edited by Xequecal; 08-01-2009 at 12:10 PM.. |

| I don't think you understand how this works, so you'd probably just not want to talk about it anymore.

| Supposedly you get 2 emblems for each encounter, so that'd be 10 for a full clear. As far as I know that's for both 10 and 25man versions.

I'm just going to keep chuckling every time I start casting Volley on shit like Thorim and Auriaya and FoK has already solo'd the mobs before I can even get a tick off.

315 badges for a full set of T9-25. Let's say you're in a fairly typical situation, where you can clear regular 25, regular 10 and HM 10. That's, what? 30 badges a week? Maybe you're dedicated and do the heroic daily 7 days a week during that time too. 44 badges? That's still 7 weeks just to get your ass in line to bid on the Trophy of The Crusade to actually GET the item. Shit, that's not even counting the fact that we won't see all 5 bosses (or any hard modes) until week 5. For WoW standards, this is a pretty tough grind for gear. Weeks straight of the heroic daily just so your ETA gearing time doesn't shoot up into the 4-5 month range. | |

+24 Internets | I think the bosses might drop loot too. Or are you just DKP hording for some mystery item? If you are, I hope its a the pink proto drake that randomly yells out that the guy riding him is a fag. Last edited by krax; 08-01-2009 at 05:17 PM.. |

| It's two badges per boss, so 10 per instance, so 20/week if you're not clearing hardmodes, 40/week if you are. Plus 2/day for daily heroic, another 14 there. They will be more common than Conquest badges are now. And I've never even spent Conquest badges on anything other than Runed Orbs, since the badge loot is garbage. Some of it actually looks good in 3.2, though. |

+19 Internets | 10 man raiders are gettin it pretty hard with that though, especially for groups not doing hard modes. 210 badges to get 5 pieces (call it 180 to get 4pt9) is 4 1/2 months for a run of the mill 10 man group. Even doing hard modes you're looking at about 3 months just to get your tier 9, considering you've got to wait on the hard mode bosses to fully unlock. I really don't understand why it's not just a token like all the previous sets. |

+38 Internets | As to the 'new' way of doing set pieces, I guess they perceived it needed a change. Its fun to be on the receiving end of tons of vanq if your a druid/DK, but not so great for everyone else. I do question the rather, harsh, badge requirement, but the truth is, its sort of needed. Otherwise, now its very easy for officers/DKP/other people in power to get their whole sets immediately. The new steep badge requirement forces you to actually distribute the loot. You can't just give it all to your main tank, because he won't have enough badges to make another piece for 2-3 weeks. And remember... for better or worse, you can also get 3 triumph badges per day by doing the daily heroic quests. Yes its more badges, but its also repulsive forcing my main character back into fucking 5 man dungeons. Its not fun, its just tedious. |
