+18 Internets | I have the 5 year reward, but had no idea what the orb thing did until today when they mentioned it in chat. Kind of wish they would have put the effect on the inspection box. |

| Ever since I hit the 60's, I keep hearing groups asking for "any non plate healer". Sometimes they word it different, but its essentially the same thing. Why is that? Does it go away at 80? Been debating rolling a templar, and would suck to get left out. I realize they are good at raids, but tbh I don't know that I'll ever be much of a hardcore raider... playing eq2 extremely casually. Thanks for any insight on this. I play a conj now so I'm a bit unfamiliar with the tank/healing dynamics of certain classes. |

+3 Internets | I broke down and trying to play once more. Rolled up a coercer, having fun so far, I need to find a guild that does more that tell everyone grats when they level or gain a achievement point. Though he is 15-16 right now, so I only have access to the 1-9, 10-19, chats. Do the higher ones get used, right now it seems people are only using 1-9 chat? Also how high should I upgrade spells? Right now at least try to go for "journeyman" or the handcrafted spells. I do get a stupid amount of resists, anything I can do to fix it? |

| To vilg, ya... like the other guy said, healers don't stack in this game. Their heals atleast that is, so having two plate healers in a group would do nothing as there heals would override eachother, as to why people ask for certain types. Quote:

| Btw, this was posted on the Official forums. I tried it and I went from 40fps to 75fps, which is crazy... FPS Pro tip: Disable Smooth Fonts I've seen as much as a 100% gain in fps rates. You can then adjust the base font size to accomidate for the initial font shock. |

| Wow. That font changed helped a lot. Too bad that the smooth fonts fuck it up like that too, since I like how they look better ![]() Apparently the +90 days to vet status only apply if you been a subscriber most of the time. I've only been subbed about like 8-9 months total of EQ2's lifetime and so my date to get the 5 year rewards will be the actual 5 year reunion for my account (Nov 4). I petitioned it, and the GM basically told me they were irrelevant since I'd been off again on again so much with my subs. Oh well, 3 months until I get the vitality reset 1x per week is better than 4 years I guess :P. |

+7 Internets | EQ2 seems to have a few odd things that will destroy your FPS. I didn't know about the font but will give it a shot when I get home. I played in Windowed mode at 17FPS on extreme performance all the way up to level 55. Then I found out that my 8800GT and the engine don't like windowed mode. As soon as I popped it into full screen I got 40FPS on balanced. Fuck. |

| yeah, windowed mode plays kind of shitty for me. However, I like being able to bounce back and forth between EQ2 and firefox so... oh well, windowed mode it is. I'm still not sure how to fix the memory leak or whatever EQ2 has that slowly trashes my system. My entire comp slows down as I play more and more EQ2 so that I usually end up having to reboot it after a day or two of solid playing. This is the only game I've played recently that does this... as I could run 4x Eve for weeks and never see any issues. Be nice to figure out some sort of "fix my system" app I could run after a day of EQ2 instead of rebooting. It likely exists, I just haven't spent much time on google looking into it. |
