Fuck man. I still don't know what to play lol. I have a brigand now at 18 which is fairly fun to play. I don't want to tank in this game because normally tanks need to know their way around a dungeons and I don't know much about any dungeon except for Fallen Gate. I was thinking either my fury (which I love but I think will be useless at 80) / Necro (Will be useless at 80 unless someone confirms otherwise) / or Brigand.

Obvious question, but how many accounts have you had? That sounds a lot like a free trial account you've got there instead of your old, main one.

A brig is always useful.
A fury needs gear to close the gap with a main line healer. but even more than that, they need a non retarded player who doesn't focus on nuking when it matters , who can cure dets and curses and generally doesn't suck. A shitty fury is way worse than a shitty mystic.

One of the highest parsers i know is a necro, but his gear is hand picked to be perfect.

I'd say you can play what you love and be good at it, but it'll take dedication to overtake say, a top type whatever of the same role.

They're great in groups, amazing in raids, used to be rare. still are on some servers.

Is crafted gear still the best shit for leveling (I remember I used quest shit and I got raped by most stuff, then some Mistwalkers guy gave me some plat and I bought a suit of crafted + weapons, and the rape train got turned on the mobs).

Yes, if you arn't being PLed it's worth the cash or farming time t make a set of master crafted every 10 levels, especially i'f you're a soloer.

No idea. buy "don't kill the messenger" for sure though.

What's a good zone progression plan for leveling?

Solo Timeline
If asked though i'd say timorous deep or darklight woods, then butcherblock and nek if you have to (and stay strong here, this part of the game is kind of anoying). then from there do the 'easy' portions of every zone on the time line. skip the bullshit quests that are annoying to do. Do lavastorm and everfrost. they were revamped and have much better rewards the old zones. do the colection quests in lavastorm, they give charms you won't replace till 80.

Also, get eq2 maps, it'll help you find obscure quest locations.

I'm 99% certain I don't have any other than the one account. I also played around with the various usernames I use for MMO's and only one of them worked.

You need "Tunare's Blessing" from druid rings in order to use druid portals. Grab them when you see them.

This weekend I'm going to clean out lower level trash loot from the bank to make some room. Go ahead and take whatever you need, there are a ton of collectibles, a bag or two, adept books and tradeskill recipe books.

Nope, as soon as the trial acct becomes an actively paying account you get our rewards.

It seems at least 2-3x faster than the last time I played. I'm not sure if you get more xp per kill, if there's less down time or if mobs are just weaker but my former highest level character made it to 20 and now I have a 52,34, and a 31 after playing for 1.5 weeks.

Meh, I resubbed, what the hell. I have a level 42 berserker on AB named Murmuur, or something to that effect. Downloading right now. Also got a level 25 brigand on there too, I think. Or maybe it was an assassin, I dunno. I haven't played since early last year or maybe late 2007.
