| The problem with Tor Anroc is that one side had insanely easy spammable knockbacks and the other didnt. If the game was set up so that only the holder of the "ball" got to do the knockbacking then it might indeed have been fun.

+2 Internets | Unfortunately that's true. Even the scenarios didnt help much after a while. Having a good six man running around we could roll warbands for a time if we played smart, but eventually it was multiple warbands all over the place and it turned so mindless that pure numbers were all that seemed to matter. |

| Blanket AoE nerf went live this morning. Don't have tons of experience with it yet but so far I can tell the difference and I think it vastly improves on RvR. Just about every AoE ability in the game was toned down, in a lot of cases making single target builds the stronger/better option. Going to be interesting to see if this is the end of bomb groups. |

| And this is what I found most frustrating about the game. Even though patches were full of things I felt were necessary the fixes just came too slow. In a game centered around mass combat the first thing on their plate should have been making sure that AoE was carefully kept in check. edit - With the radical changes to the AM and elimination of a viable DPS path (and removal of Golden Aura) combined with what happened to my poor, poor Engineer it's really hard seeing how I'd resub again. This illustrates why you need to get your shit in gear early on. I know my Engineer was broken but I got used to him and regarded him warmly and no he won't ever be the same. | Just reading the patch notes, if that had gone through a few weeks after release I think a lot of people would still be playing WAR. Too bad, really. It will probably turn out to be a decent game after a few more radical fixes. Good luck getting people back to actually play RvR though. |

Not implementing cross-server BGs is a complete mistake for any game because: - BGs will be ghost-towns on low population servers - new users are deliberately directed to lower pop servers - thus, new users first experience is that PVP BGs are empty - new users first impression is the game is dead Yeah complete mistake. I cannot believe that none of the Mythic team realized how big a difference there was in WOW since the BGs became cross-server. The "I want to fight people on the same server" argument has some merit, but doesn't come close to the importance of not gimping your subs by giving new users the impression the game is dead. | It also makes timezones and when you are playing matter more than you want to. There isn't anything fun about scenarios just not spawning because you crossed your servers magical time threshold. And then there are the situations were only specific scenarios are spawning. Hope you want to do those ones because otherwise you'll end up waiting long periods to have it collapse due to not enough players. Whenever that happens every player still in the scenario should get Apology XP. "Sorry we spawned a scenario that suffered crib death. Have some exp and renown." I've got like 5 screenshots of a scenarios in which I am the only participant. Spawns with just me in it, no one ever enters, then it is closed due to lack of players. That was a real hoot after waiting a half hour. Let me tell you. edit - There should also be Apology XP for getting stuck with a scenario that is already half over and playing it out anyway.

I quickly soured on it though, for all the reasons you mentioned. Every game with BGs must make them cross-server. If WAR taught us anything, it is that. Having only one BG pop for the entire time you were in a tier was a complete joke. And as has already been mentioned, being in a different timezone, or having weird hours, meant that you couldnt even participate in BGs at all. | |
