| Nice, this will be fun. It will be a lot easier convincing a few of your friends to join you in playing through the dungeons if it's free.

+78 Internets | Sweet installing this tonight, I had fun when it came out but was short lived due to many many issues I hope to see fixed. Damm not avail yet. Current players who wish to continue their paid subscriptions will now be known as VIPs. Their fees will give them automatic access to many of the additions that other users have to purchase a la carte. VIPs will also have priority server access and a shared bank slot that can be used to transfer items from one character to another on the same account. Additionally, VIPs will receive a monthly allotment of store credits that they can use to buy whatever additional items the desire. Though the store's pricing structure is still being balanced, VIPs are likely to get a bit more for their money than a player who chooses to buy all the additions individually. | has any other major MMORPG tried this yet? going from p2p to f2p with micro? i know i go through a f2p binge every few months and sometimes play the typically lower quality games for a few weeks. would be nice to be able to have a quality game to fall back on during those times. |

+25 Internets | Saw this in 1up and I'm definitely going to grab it when it goes gold. I played the free trial a few years back and it wasn't bad. The major issue for me was just lack of community. It shouldn't be hard to get some friends on board to play if the game is free though. |

| This is really a godsend. I'll be sure to play it. I thought the game had potential in beta and at launch, except it had no content and the design decisions around repeating instances with NO open world at all were just terribly shortsighted. Had this gone GW style from the beginning it would have been a hit imo.

+5 Internets | Great move, as a D&D nerd I was really sad on how the game came out, hope the good old D&D can survive from 2010 and beyond. ![]() The game is trully bad for a subscription model in comparison to what we have today in the market, but will be certainly one of the best free to play out there. Can't wait to get the folks together and do some runs. On the question if any mainstream subscription MMO hit the F2P road - Anarchy Online is free to play now isn't it? Vanilla at least. |

+38 Internets | Kind of funny this is happening, I just did a trial of it a few months back and enjoyed it but thought to myself I'd only continue to play it if it had the Guild Wars model of being free to play with expansion packs. This is not exactly that, but it works. It's enough for me to keep the game installed and mess around on it from time to time. Some of the dungeon scenarios are pretty fun. |
