Orc > Troll. Blood Elf is the weakest by far. Tauren isn't much better.

I used it to choose a new euro server and at pretty much all hours of the day, even when i cant sleep and have wandered on at 3am I have seen ads in /2 looking for people for naxx pugs and loads of guilds recruiting for Ulduar etc. The caveat to that is that almost every pug ad expects you to link your epic and naxx achievements etc but if you are feeling brave you can use the fake achievements mod to at least get your foot in the door. Not sure how you are supposed to hide the messages when you start spamming them upon killing the first boss etc
On the one hand I completely understand the whole 'link achievements/stats' thing from raid leaders, but on the other, it makes it a complete pain in the ass to actually gear up any alts. Hell even heroic groups won't take you unless you're heroic geared, massive catch 22.

One good run to get the naxx achievement and more likely than not at least a few upgrades would get the job done but indeed, it's getting into that first good run it seems. Money making on an old established server is so damn easy though I'm hoping to be able to buy a few of the good tradeskill epics at 80 to get going at least. I'm only level 36, have 4 x 20 slot bags, mount, blue hat and weapon etc and still have 200g left over atm. Mining and skinning brings in decent amounts of coin every day.

I've seen guides for a lot of classes for what's good for pre-raiding gear but so far I've failed to find one for an ele shammy, anyone got a link handy please? I guess i was spoiled by maintankadin forums on my protadin

Now, before i get too much into this; Does anybody know anything about Destromath? Thats what I'm currently playing on (pvp server)...was wondering if anybody knew anything about the server?

Playing a lock/hunter right now.

One more question; I've seen lock spec for levelling should be affliction til you can respec into felguard.

Post that just go Demo until 80 when its beneficial to spec to another spec? (I.E. your gear level gives another spec a DPS advantage?)

What would be the PvP Spec for Locks? I'll have dualspec, might as well enjoy some pvp. I intend to do either demo or affliction for pve.

For hunters:

What is the levelling spec? What is the pvp spec? thanks. =)

I don't understand this. According to that site I should choose sen'jin because there is one guild that has progressed the farthest compared to other realms?

You should choose a realm that has many different guilds going very far. For example. Mal'ganis horde is really weird and has like 20 guilds doing really well in uldaur. You should choose to play horde there. Lots of oppurtunity to pug and join raiding guilds if you wish.

Look at activity ratio, not overall population. The realm I play on there are quite a bit more Alliance characters, but the activity ratio is near 1:1. Even if you don't plan on high end raiding still go by how many high end guilds there are. I'd say 5-6 on or killed Yogg for each side AT LEAST. The more high end guilds, the more people that are going to roll there just like you. Nobody rolls new on backwater servers, only transfers off bloated ones which is why there are so many pile of shits in WoW.

Destromath doesnt look too bad; I can always transfer at 80 if I need to.

Thanks for the link.

EDIT: looked at it for awhile; Going with Mal'Ganis. it means ditching the last day of half-assed work levelling a lock to 10, but oh well. (not doing the RAF thing; taking the time to learn classes I've never played)

Gonna start with hunter on Mal'Ganis; Names Kyune. Will restart the lock later after I get hunter up there a bit. I encourage people to send me tells to talk to be; I get bored grinding quickly. =P

best spec to level a mage in WOTLK?

I've always levelled my mage (vanilla and bc) by using Fire/arcane, but not sure if that's the fastest or most efficient in wotlk?

Troll is okay as long as you're going marks and stick with bows. I agree that orc is better, through - I was just suggesting an alternative.

Frost. With shatter you kill single target just as fast as you do with fire, and you have far better efficiency and AoE, you can kite elites and group quests that you can't do with fire and you're far more capable in pvp.

There's no real argument for taking fire over frost to level up, imo.
