I've decided, as a healer, that if any one person in a heroics group pulls aggro or targets a mob that the tank is not targeting, they will die and I will leave the group immediately. As long as it's not the tank's fault.

This shit has no excuse anymore.

WoW Tanking is AE Faceroll now. Tanks that can't hold AE Threat well are either Warriors or suck. Actually.. going with just suck.

This is of course assuming the gear levels of all group members are within a margin of reason.

Well, most tanks need to tab target so I'm rarely surprised when people are attacking different mobs. To be honest there's no reason the tank shouldn't be able to get the mob back and if they over-agro on a mob it's as much the tanks job to pour threat into the target as it is the DPSers job to pick a new target they don't have as much threat built up on.

But yeah, luckily the chowder heads tend to expose themselves early and I have no moral qualms about asking for group lead and booting out some druid tank pulling 1000 tps. Had a 90 minute HToC a few weeks ago where I finished with a completely different group then I had started with.

I love pugs. It's like Russian Roulette, one hour of your life at a time. Only 5 of the chambers are loaded instead of just one.

Is leveling via battlegrounds only applicable 70+?

I may need to get my game face on in WoW again soon...

Questing is faster until AV in the 70s. Combined with the low honor yield from earlier battlegrounds and it's really not an option unless you just can't stomach questing anymore and are willing to wait out the longer haul.

They nerfed the shit out of AV leveling. Completely not worth it anymore unless you intend to do other stuff like laundry or play a different game and you just semi-afk near a bunker or something. XP nerfed by about 40% (though heirloom bonuses apply now, still a net loss). Queue's have gone from 1 minute to 15+ during off hours, still 8+ during prime time. Generals are still their level 80 BG stats so they hit for 10k+ when most people have 15k hp so you ~have~ to down all the towers or you don't even remotely stand a chance so games tend to drag out really long.

WSG/EoTS/AB all still terrible. IoC is laughable xp.

How they managed to cock something like this up so badly I'll never know.

Some of the "xp nerf" (actually a game mechanics issue*) was hotfixed - AV is about 65%-75% of where it was for 70-79 and all other BGs actually got buffed, plus the heirloom stuff works in them now.

*XP & honour is partially based on player levels so a 71-80 BG pulled in significantly more than a 70-79 one, apparently. I'm guessing the XP curve spikes upwards at "multiples of 10" levels or something similar, which gave the 71-80 AV xp/honour based on the 'next tier'.

Yes, it's still pathetic even after the 'buffs' to them. Where leveling in BG's was a viable alternative, now it's terrible.

It doesn't help that the honor value for items is completely out of whack. Why the fuck does level 70 gear cost 10k+ honor per piece when you make maybe 500 per game? Not to mention the 70 gear is based on old ilvl values and stats so it's all shit.

Whole system needs a complete makeover. This is what happens when you have a piece of shit to begin with and spend 5 years patching in shit on top of it.

charge, cleave, wait 1/2 sec for all mobs to gather(heroic throw straggler that's casting), clap, cleave, shockwave, cleave, spam cleave/clap/shockwave. warrior AE tanking is a joke too.

Seriously, leveling my shaman was a ton of fun. I was getting ready to work on my 36 hunter or 45 warlock just to do the 70-80 AV grind, I enjoyed it that much. And now its shit. Way to fail Blizz.

It wasn't supposed to go live as is; not until 3.3.

So, I apparently get DC'd every time I click a JC link in game. Only JC too, every other profession is fine, but 100% of the time I try and look at a JC book it kicks me off.

What the shit is that?
