Sorry for noobish questions, but does anyone know if you upgrade an account from a trial to a regular account using the online upgrade, do you still need to buy the TBC box to have access to that content?

There's contradictory information in a couple of different places, so wondering if anyone has actually tried it.

If you upgrade to regular it's just regular, stops at 60, no outlands, no BE/Draenei. You shouldn't bother upgrading though, just buy a regular wow cdkey on a random website for like 10$, last time I checked the upgrade was actually quite expensive. Unless you do want to play the account, then buy a wotlk box. For RAF, stick to normal since RAF stops at 60.

Where's a good place to buy a CD key, then? And can I still use the trial installer to download the regular content?

The trial upgrade is $20, $10 cheaper than the basic/TBC warchest, so I figured there was a catch.

I don't know, anywhere should be fine, can't remember where I last bought them but most of these websites selling keys seem legal, at least the ones that pop first in google. Else you can just buy the key from blizzard I guess.

As for the download, the trial client is the normal client, there's no difference, so yeah you can download patches and stuff.

I wouldn't level in BG's unless you've got a ringer on your side. I do AV exclusively now, but that's because I can 3-box it and lvl 80 Protadin + Disc Priest is like a fucking raid boss to the legions of level 73's out there. I giggle thinking about the other team yelling "Alright, every 8 seconds he'll drop consecrate melee make sure you back out and switch to the priest. Priest fear is off CD, no telling when he'll use...fuck holy nova spam, spread out spread out! Frostwolf Banner down, ranged pop it! What the fuck just happened? What the...you got hit for 10k? Dude, when he pops wings you have to shield wall or he's going to one shot you with that captain america bullshit. Fuck dude. You've been playing the game how long and you haven't figured it out? Pathetic."

so.. dusted off my DK and considering we now have a shitload of tanks in the guild, i was wondering whats the best DPS spec for 10mans and heroics.... blood with dancing rune blade ??

Blood 2h is still respectable dps. Some argue for skipping DRW in favor of Unholy Blight, but I'm not sold on the idea. Frost/unholy dual-wield specs are very decent now as well. Unholy is mostly meh; scourge strike is so bad unholy specs don't even take it anymore and just use full obliterate rotations.

I'm 51/0/20 and pull ~4500 in 25mans with 0 loot from ulduar or toc. I'd love to give the DW builds a try but can't get a 2nd 2.6 weapon to save my life =\

I think blood is still the best DK dps with the stupidity that is armor pen currently, but as everyone has seen that is getting a nerf bat shoved right up its cornhole soon enough.

So I need a new server again. Alliance or Horde, preferrably one in the PST.

I have this habit of transferring to a server a friend plays on, then finding out he's tired of the game and/or belonging to a guild that goes tits-up after a month.

I need a good, solid server with a steady, large population.

Malfurion Horde seems alright so far, but I'm also only 15 atm so who knows if it stays that way.

how viable is it to gem for ArPen instead of Str (red and purple gems that is) currently until you hit the cap, assuming the DK has a Grim Toll trinket?
