I wanted to like FFXI, but I just couldn't get in to it. Maybe I just never reallu gave it a chance.

I would like a happy medium between WoW and EQ but that just seems a bridge too far.

I've been tipping it to launch next year for a long time. As I've said before, the interesting thing is that after so long with nothing special to look forward to, this, Secret World and Copernicus will all be launching around the same time (just my guesswork), not to mention Diablo 3 (unless it somehow comes out end of this year).

There's been nothing I've enjoyed playing, on any platform, released in the last eighteen months or more. And nothing major until this batch comes through (Jumpgate is the only possible exception).

I agree with the above. This is the game that will challenge WoW.

All hypocritical whinging about FFXI aside, it was pretty much "EQ but shinier" and got somewhere over a million subs. If Squeenix have made this as "WoW but shinier" then they are going to make a mint.

If, however, they've made it as "FFXI but shinier" then they are proper fucked. It all depends on how smart they are.
