Steam is having a sale (might be just for the weekend) but you can get the latest EQ2 expansion (with all previous expansions and the vanilla game) for $9.99.

I already have eq2-kunark outside of steam, if I pick that up on steam will I be able to add SO to my account, or is it all tied together?

Yeah. When you buy it on Steam, your game list gets two entries for EQ2: Kunark and SO. Right-click the entries and go to (I think) "Manage Account"; it takes you to a Sony webpage where you can link the purchase to an existing Station account, or create a new Station account.

It even gives you the activation key.... I got one for each entry on the game list (Kunark and SO). Not sure which one activated all the adventure packs and other expansions, but my account is fully upgraded now. Woo.

I've read elsewhere that Steam kicks you to a SOE-Station site once it's done installing that has "New Account" or "Upgrade Existing Account" choices.I can't guarantee this as I've not installed yet, so caveat emptor.

I bought it, couldn't pass up the price or Adam's offer for cybers. Not sure how it's going to eventually work but they made me create (or use an existing) account after I purchased to begin DL. I did, but it isn't flagged on the account yet or anything. Wondering if that will change after the DL is done.

edit: ah they open up a tab with a key in it for you to activate it yourself. likely to save it until I'm done with prototype

Yeah so we have Ham and myself, anyone else want to join up? I'm sure it won't last more than a few weeks, but whatever. Could fire up Mistwalkers again on AB

Btw, my DL was messed up and was sitting around 100kb/s almost all day. It finally woke up and is going around 700kb/s now, so I'll be gtg in the morning.

I'm on AB atm, as a 80 Necro, I have no problem mentoring down w/ you guys. Name is Tkon in game. I'm usually in X zone farming Y named so I'm afk a bit while they respawn, but I'll respond eventually.

Need some help with Steam. I received the reply, and they said that it would work fine if I used "manage game account" from the Steam screen, but that's where I'm fucked up. When I do that, nothing happens. It looks like a problem with Steam...anyone know of a fix?

Never mind, good now, just have to reinstall.

So can someone who plays now let us know what to avoid as far as classes go? Like someone mentioned monks suck as they're just decent tank and dps.
