Its was renamed Istaria after the original devs bought it back. I think they are even adding content to the game now.

Horizons doesn't count, that has been shut down and brought back to life at least 3 different times.

I'm surprised smaller run games continue to outlive these other guys, like A tale in the desert or entropia.

Played it for maybe a week? The controls just weren't there and short of standing around (most fun part) it just wasn't that enjoyable. I too also love the Matrix stuff, and enjoyed the last 2 movies as well.

I think SWG or Planetside is on the block before Vanguard, vanguard at least has gotten updates with some more on the way, SWG and planetside have been withering on the vine for quite a few years and what patches they have gotten seemed designed to outright kill them.

I read some good pvp stories by some fanboy years ago, but never played it and never cared about it. I even forget the stories ... something about stairs being bugged at the entrance of a pvp zone.

Its a damn shame about planetside. It really was a good game. It just desparately needed better dev support. A game like that needs a constant influx of new content.

Those people are pretty passionate about the matrix online. Considering what a terrible franchise it turned out to be that's really surprising. I guess there really isnt that much in the way of cyberpunk type shit out there. In a way I admire their loyalty to their shitty game
