While I am sure there are some people genuinely interested in blizzcon, a free in-game item just sold a SHIT ton of PPV subscriptions - mostly to people who probably won't even watch.

Blizzard marketing is pure genius.

If they get a card like Blizzcon attendee's did last year for their in game item there is also the "Beta Key For Future Blizzard Title" as well. (If they are doing that again this year) Hi2u Diablo III...

As long as there is a pro-Starcraft event being shown on the PPV I'm totally in. There was a tournament there last year, so I assume there's gonna be another this year. We need infos on that.

Anything been revealed as far as info on specific projects that will be revealed? Obviously more D3/SC2, but any word on whether we'll hear about the nebulous secret MMO project?

It's probably too soon for that, but I wouldn't be surprised to hear about the next WoW expansion.

In case anyone is on the fence, it's worth going if you meet with friends/guildmates, but I don't think I'd recommend Blizzcon to an individual. It's a ton of waiting in line, overcrowding, and all the information goes online pretty quickly. The first Blizzcon supposedly was different, but it's too crazy now to justify the expense.

I agree, but you just know there are some folk here who paid $60 to watch 4 minutes of Pacquiao vs Hatton.

How much did some folks pay for that 15 seconds of Tyson fight? $120?

And, really, the $125 to actually attend Blizzcon is pretty outrageous too, not even counting travel, hotel, blah blah blah.

Last year's coverage was horrible. Directv switched to some gay interview right in the middle of the WoW Dev Q&A. It was such a poor production.

Totally worth it though.

Most people thought it would last 7 rounds or even the full 12 rounds. Surprise was worth the 60 bucks, even though my friend paid em, not me! I paid the booze.

No thanks on the $40 PPV. I'll watch it 20 seconds later on some dude's live stream.

Not to get super far off-topic, but when you spend the money and time on a fight, and it ends in seconds, you'll be pissed. Once again, slightly off topic, but relevant and funny. Had a buddy throw a fight party, dropped like $250+ on food and beer, 20 friends over, but his wife had to work the next morning at like 5AM, and really didn't want us there, so like an idiot my friend promises "when the fights over the friends will leave and I'll clean up". So obviously, he's praying like FUCK the fight goes the distance.

It was the Kimbo vs. Seth fight.

We weren't going to let on, and some idiot starts screaming "it's over, it's over, 14 seconds!!!".
