Yeah i have a "friend" who noticed this too. Apparently being subscribed to a SOE game/or being a longtime SOE costumer may make this happen. < Thats just a guess tho.

This "friend" had never signed up for any free realms beta either.

My station account mentions free realms under my subscription but when I log into the free realms page it just says they have my email or some shit

Same, logged in for it to tell me I already signed up for beta, which I don't recall ever doing. For those with "friends" in beta, how do I know if I'm actually in it or not?

Go to your subscriptions on Station.com you'll be subscribed to Free Realms if you are in.

I am, according to the station site, but the beta site doesn't seem to agree. It seems that basically one can have an active (free) subscription to the game, but not actually be accepted into the beta itself.

My "friend's" station account gave him the "You're already signed up" message but when he got the USA Today invite, he entered a code and that allowed him to download the client. That's just what I heard. Apparently that asshole stole my name too and is running around using it.

Mine says Free Realms active, but when I log on to the Launchpad it shows nothing.

Goto http://www.freerealms.com/index.vm log into the site if you are in Beta you should have a Play button on the screen.

Hey guys, Free Realms is on Miniclip now so I think you can just login and play. You might need to make a new station account though.

my account says its active, if I log in it says "we got your beta info, don't worry". if i try from the subscription page I get an under construction page ;(

I had the "you have already been signed up for beta.. blah blah" bullshit, but no obvious way to actually play. I went to the account info page on the free realms website and noticed my email address was not verified. I clicked the button to verify it, waited for the email and followed the directions therein.

When I went to the main website, I have a "Play Now" button - but I'm about to leave work so I have not tried it yet.

Well it ends up I got to this page because I went through the miniclip site, then when I click Play Now it says I am not flagged for the beta. lol.

Definately a fun game so far.
Kind of quirky, but I can see this being really popular if they market it correctly.
Hopefully they realize the target market does not have an income of their own, and the way the economy is going right now, extra money to spend on entertainment is tight.
Keeping the costs low for extra content, jobs, etc. will help them out hugely.

Go for a large number of small transactions instead of a small number of expensive transactions...
