| I brought characters to Uldaman, got my disks of norg, thought, "gee, thats funny, they're CDs, in a fantasy world", continued reading on, went to Uldum, was fascinated by the idea of it. From level 30 in uldaman, to level 45 in tanaris, to level 70 in wotlk.... theres never been huge forcing of the storyline of the creation of the world, but its been there, and its actually been totally blatant... along the lines of, THIS IS WHERE THE RACES CAME FROM... THIS IS WHERE THE EARTHEN CAME FROM... THIS IS WHO MADE THEM, AND THIS WORLD... |

| Tuco is entirely correct about Warcraft's lore. Many of you are ignorant of these many aspects of their storyline, but that isn't Blizzard's fault. And, indeed, Brann Bronzebeard's quest line running up Grizzly Hills and Storm Peaks is entirely about his uncovering Ulduar. They laid the foundation for this dungeon very well in this expansion and in previous quests at WoW's release. It isn't really "space" either. The "twisting nether" (a.k.a. space) is the chaos that is the rest of the universe. Azeroth and other planets are the miniscule bits of order carved out by the titans after they defeated and imprisoned the old gods. The titans have been mentioned time and again. They created the keepers, the dragon aspects, the earthen, etc. on just this planet. Sargeras is a titan that was supposed to guard their expanding "order" from the chaotic forces of the nether, including many of the demon species found in TBC. Kil'jaeden and Archimonde were two of the three leaders of the eredar. They were enlisted by Sargeras and became very powerful bosses over the ages. All of it goes back to the titans and the old gods. This is an origin story, and your response is, "lol space ships". Perhaps they've gone back on themselves a few times, but overall it's a compelling and cohesive storyline. If you enjoy anything that R.A. Salvatore sells on the bookshelves you've got no right to complain about this. |

tolkien's ring wasn't a piece of a spaceship from a far away interstellar civilization. sauron didn't have mighty powers that were once good and tainted, then retconned to pure bad. just tell the damned truth instead of using euphemisms and i won't call you out on it anymore.

| YS was originally going to be in a Nerubian Raid instance, Loken was going to be working for someone else, but then they changed it all up during developement and moved YS to Ulduar. Except they missed something, look at this quote from the first time you meet Loken in HF. "The work of your brothers in the Storm Peaks has reached a frenzied pace. Soon, Father will be freed. " YS is Lokens father? Nope. Also where the hell is the watcher Tyr? You visit his place in Stormpeaks, but he's not in Ulduar. |

+5 Internets | TITANS = XEL'NAGA If you want to bitch about something, bitch about the Naaru that came out of fucking nowhere and don't fit in well at all vis-a-vis the well-established lore (i.e. titans). Titans have been part of Warcraft lore for just as long as Thrall, Jaina, etc. That said, the writing is actually pretty bad. "Thank you mortals! Your ability to dodge void zones has given me a new outlook on life." |

Then a TASTE of the shit that people had to endure in vanilla when raids were hard comes along and those same "hardcore" people bitch up a storm? Please. Take your no-skill "we save up our PTO and play for 24 hours a day til everything is dead on patch weeks" zerg guild and go fuck yourself.

| The Titan lore isn't really out of place, hell I'm encouraging all my RL friends who just started playing WoW to read up on the backstory - to get a better experience out of WoW. I personally believe that the WotK lore has been fantastic, and it really made the grind from lvl 70 to 80 all that much bearable.

i have a problem with the progression up to them (and beyond). just because lore exists doesn't mean it's good lore. that's the mistake many here make unfortunately.

Honestly, though...Algalon should've been an "end" boss -- or right before Sargeras fight. I think if push comes to shove, he could trump Arthas/Nerzhul. edit: Dumar, you seem to QQ a lot about intergalactic lore. Seriously, just drop it.
