Nobody wants to be limited on the time you can do something in a game that you pay monthly for.

I think it will open one of the already created zones in the mpq file like emerald dream.

If im right everyone in this thread has to give me +internets.
the cockblock is for emerald dream

they need to stick within their confines and within themselves.
Now hold the fuck up, Dumar, AKA most retarded poster on this forum. Blizzard has done an amazing job leading up to Ulduar for the passed four years at least, and if you weren't so busy making an ass of yourself with every slobbering post you've made in this period, you'd know.

This is not some random leap into one-upping Arthas or anyone else, this is a foundation of the Warcraft lore, brought in by many quests, areas, mobs and storylines.

Brann Bronzebeard spent the entire expansion working his ass off to show you why it's there, why it's relevant and why you should care, but your pea-brain couldn't even find enough nerve endings to rub together to comprehend it.

And in all the good work the quest designers did (honestly, the zone quests are the strongest point of this expansion and I hated questing in classic or TBC), there was not a single mention of Yogg-Saron being in Ulduar. And they've done a bad job making any connection whatsoever to the Grizzly Hills story. I don't have a huge problem with Warcraft lore. But they did seem to rush the lol Ulduar is a prison aspect.

I have a minor suspicion as to why. I'm guessing the 3.2 raid was changed from the Nerubian setting to the PvE raid Arena idea that Tigole seemed to like during Beta, but that is 100% pure speculation.

I don't know Tuco, granted I know nothing of WoW lore other then how Eastern PL was made but when I think of warcraft I sure as hell don't picture Titans from space and spaceships etc. They may have done a good job molding the world toward that end but in retrospec I never imagined that would go that route.

Remove the 1 hour cockblock.

Make every char on the server be reduced to level 1 if anyone fails Algalon thanks to the Omega reply.

Done!

Hate to invoke him but you are absolutely wrong here.

Loken

This is just one example from the top of my head that I remember with absolute clarity indicated the existence of an old god in Ulduar. What they did was good story telling. In Howling Fjord you are introduced to the Iron Dwarves through the investigations of a council of druids. In Grizzly Hills you find out more about what they are doing and who their leader is. In Storm Peaks you find out more about them and find out their leader is a corrupted servant of the Titans and fairly strong hints of where his corruption came from. In Halls of Lightning he gives his master a name. What connection did you miss?

If you don't know anything of WoW lore, then of course you'd have that opinion.

Before any of you people try to trample WoW's lore, at least bother reading it.

Titan - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft

You don't need to understand the lore to enjoy the game, but playing the game doesn't give you grounds to trash the lore you don't understand.

There is a ton of references to old gods in WotLK.. it was quite obvious one would emerge sooner rather than later.

oh fucking please. call me whatever you want, but tell the truth when you speak. "a foundation of warcraft lore" that was already retconned and wasn't really in the vernacular until recently. no, uldaman doesn't count because you don't go from stoneform dwarves to intergalactic spaceships and silver surfer-esque heralds that was probably gonna deus ex machina in the first place. fucking potime was better than this.

yogg who? yeah.

Haha as if the 3.2 raid will be anything besides Zul'Drak. WE'RE DUE.

If you want to bitch about Warcraft lore, there's a lot of avenues for your mind to stumble down. But stay the fuck away from dwarves and titans.

When you don't like anything, the chances of liking warcraft lore, the fantasy equivalent of a spaggetti western, are almost nil.

Fuck, someone call the press. A fantasy author may have expanded their worlds universe and in the process retconned some things to make them fit better with the new story. We have to -stop- this shit now before it spreads and suddenly Tolkien changes his mind that a simple magic ring is now the centerfold of a war lasting thousands of years.

Oh wait. FUCK.
