This is not some random leap into one-upping Arthas or anyone else, this is a foundation of the Warcraft lore, brought in by many quests, areas, mobs and storylines. Brann Bronzebeard spent the entire expansion working his ass off to show you why it's there, why it's relevant and why you should care, but your pea-brain couldn't even find enough nerve endings to rub together to comprehend it.

I have a minor suspicion as to why. I'm guessing the 3.2 raid was changed from the Nerubian setting to the PvE raid Arena idea that Tigole seemed to like during Beta, but that is 100% pure speculation. Last edited by darksensei; 04-22-2009 at 02:37 PM..

+78 Internets | I don't know Tuco, granted I know nothing of WoW lore other then how Eastern PL was made but when I think of warcraft I sure as hell don't picture Titans from space and spaceships etc. They may have done a good job molding the world toward that end but in retrospec I never imagined that would go that route. |

Loken This is just one example from the top of my head that I remember with absolute clarity indicated the existence of an old god in Ulduar. What they did was good story telling. In Howling Fjord you are introduced to the Iron Dwarves through the investigations of a council of druids. In Grizzly Hills you find out more about what they are doing and who their leader is. In Storm Peaks you find out more about them and find out their leader is a corrupted servant of the Titans and fairly strong hints of where his corruption came from. In Halls of Lightning he gives his master a name. What connection did you miss?

Before any of you people try to trample WoW's lore, at least bother reading it. Titan - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft You don't need to understand the lore to enjoy the game, but playing the game doesn't give you grounds to trash the lore you don't understand.

| There is a ton of references to old gods in WotLK.. it was quite obvious one would emerge sooner rather than later.

| oh fucking please. call me whatever you want, but tell the truth when you speak. "a foundation of warcraft lore" that was already retconned and wasn't really in the vernacular until recently. no, uldaman doesn't count because you don't go from stoneform dwarves to intergalactic spaceships and silver surfer-esque heralds that was probably gonna deus ex machina in the first place. fucking potime was better than this. yogg who? yeah. |

+166 Internets | Fuck, someone call the press. A fantasy author may have expanded their worlds universe and in the process retconned some things to make them fit better with the new story. We have to -stop- this shit now before it spreads and suddenly Tolkien changes his mind that a simple magic ring is now the centerfold of a war lasting thousands of years. Oh wait. FUCK. |
