Yeah there were keyloggers stories so I stopped using it, I haven't updated my addons in months though. In most cases it's no big deal, the only addons that need regular updates are boss mods and new addons, I only use old shit where they updated nonsensical stuff to fix some bugs I've never had. That said, there's a few addons to update with 3.1 so they even work at all, it's gonna be painful, as usual.

True. In the end it's all about money. Curse and WoWInterface are ticked because WoWMatrix in infringing on ad revenue and potential premium services (see below).

WoWMatrix works across multiple sites (unlike Curse), recognized all my add-ons (unlike Curse) and doesn't constantly run in the background after it's initiated (unlike Curse). The key-logging issue is another reason I'm not too excited to jump on the Curse bandwagon.

If you're looking for it though, you can find the Curse Client here.

lol, when you run on curse with IE64 it asks you to do one of those dumb "type in this passphrase" thing before you can download it (they do some flash trick with 32 bit browsers to skip it). Still dumbass of them, the Wowmatrix guys are from china, you really think you are going to put in a security system the chinese guys can't hack? NO CHANCE HOMIES.

For now I'm just using wowmatrix to tell me which mods need updating, and then manually downloading them. pain in the ass but I don't want to install the curse client and wowinterface isn't always up to date.

It won't even tell you which need updating, they'd need to put in a workaround for that, something that's not the wowmatrix client that goes and pulls version numbers for it to check against. As it is, you don't see something needs to be updated, just that the host site is offline or a more info link stating the addon isnt currently supported.

30 min hearth stones makes it much more tolerable however.

how long do you think until ensidium (the guys that got to 80 and cleared nax maly and sarth in 60 hours after launch) will clear ulduar?

not including the algalon cause apparently you have to unlock him with a quest chain.

I think it would be a bigger feat that a guild like that is still together 5 months later. Perhaps 'sponsorship' helps with that.

Clearing the whole zone (except for Algalon) in normal mode will mean jack and shit. First guild to clear all the hard modes, that's a different story.

I think it's possible that guilds will clear Ulduar on hard mode this week, but I honestly don't think it will happen till next week or the week after.

Guilds that have experience on the PTR will probably go straight for hard mode /shrug

I'm betting Algalon dies by Friday, especially if a hardcore 10 man group dives in there and it's actually tuned to be done with ilvl 226 items at most, unlike Sarth3D.

Speaking of which, damn I'm glad I managed to get my 310 drake finished on Sunday. I expected another week of waiting.

Remember that while guilds might have had experience on PTR, they also had the stats shirts to emulate a fake ulduar gear level.

I do expect a few guilds to clear most of it on hard mode though, killing Algalon might be another story though, since it's a hard mode unlocked boss, there's some good chances he's tuned like total madness unless you're fully geared in ulduar stuff, which means he'd probably be impossible to beat, at least in a week of tries. I fully expect this raid content to last less than a month for Ensidia/other top guilds, for good raiding guilds probably more than that and for shitheads they probably will never do most of the hard modes anyway.

Edit: Oh yeah 10man version might die sooner, but I think most people don't care about 10man progress unless it's actually harder than the 25man(see Sarth).
