edit: At any rate, they won't ever charge for it now, thanks to the new Blizzard addon policy.

| So I uninstalled my WoW thanks to Blizzard's super handy articles on why you get errors and now I can't install WotLK from my DVD due to some scratch or something and the main site is down or just lagged to shit and I can't get on to download it either. I am SUPER EXCITED. ![]() |

Basically dont use a router, dont uncheck peer-to-topeer (tech support WILL tell you to do so) open the ports blizz tell you to in network connections, and restart your comp after getting rid of your router. thats what worked for me, good luck man. | |

+9 Internets | I once read on a website that you can use toothpaste to fix scratches. I didn't really believe it until one day one my X360 games was scratched and I figured I could try it since it was going to go in the trash anyway. To my surprise, it worked pretty damn well and the game worked fine ever since. The way I did it is squeeze some toothpaste on your fingertip, rub it gently on the scratched area, then rinse with water, dry the surface of the disc and look carefully under a lightsource if you can still see the scratch. When I did it, the scratch became completely invisible, there was no way to tell where it had been, and it worked. Worth trying if your WoW disc is fucked up, eh. |

| Next time don't uninstall your game because Blizzard's help documents tell you to. Instead, visit their tech forums where you could have read that there was an issue with the battle.net login server giving false error information (it needed to be updated for compatibility with 3.1, one of the last tasks they perform). |

| No they don't. I'm not exactly sure where the line is drawn, but Blizzard most certainly could not just, for example, take a popular mod, copy the LUA code line for line and integrate it into the base UI without the author's permission. |
