well i got EoTS and AV back to back, i knew they wouldn't be too bad.

It's not so much the achievements being terrible, more so the fact that I'm forced to run BG's on my spriest, which i fucking hate.

There are plenty of avenues to get it done. Respec discipline or holy so you don't implode and aren't a direct target then get two or three geared friends to help out. You'll have it within an hour.

I know you're just frustrated and venting. But let's be honest, this one isn't bullshit enough to warrant being left out of the meta. Given how much of a joke 99% of the requirements for the meta are, expecting you to have to try just a little bit for one or two when the reward is a 310% mount isn't exactly a stretch.

edit: I still stand by them being bad game design. The EotS and AV ones especially reward people for being shitty team players.

EOTS sucked for me too. It was the last one I needed...tried it Friday night for about 3 hours straight with 2 other guildies, we never won a single match. I logged in Saturday morning and we 4 capped them my first match and I got it done.

So yeah, if your in a shitty battlegroup, expect stuff like this to blow no matter who you are (except Druid).

If you're still having issues surviving long enough to do anything, consider a 51/0/20 hybrid spec, which should keep you alive and have enough offense to it that you can kill people if necessary.

Come over to Stormstrike BG and try that. Alliance does not contest a single tower in AV, ever.

For all these kind of achieves you want to do them the day they are available, since there are a ton of people who only care about the achieves. As the week progresses you get a lot of douches who work actively to prevent anyone from getting the achievements.

And yes its a dumbass achievement and really reinforces the "dance monkey, dance!" feeling of wow. oh well, 2 more and 310% protodrake

I was forced to give up on my protodrake. Graphics card gave up last night while I was trying to get my WSG cap.

I did mine in PvE gear with 0 resilience. Took me a few tries on each BG, mostly prime time but I did AV/AB one morning when I got up early, before work.

For AV, respec to Holy and take Body and Soul. Be ready with your orphan out at the right side of the door when it opens. Just before it opens, cast PWS on yourself. You'll get a speed boost so you can get out of the cave and get mounted first. Then just take the most efficient route to Stonehearth, as long as your computer is ok you should be in the lead. With all the ret pallies infesting BG's you should also have their aura. When you get to stonehearth, use PWS again on the ramp so you hit the flag first. Voila!

For EOTS I found B&S to help get the flag capped once I had it, but really you just need a few of your realmmates who are going to actively guard the flag. I ended up speccing disc after a few tries, for me it was a wash.

For WSG and AB, I was Discipline since it wasn't so much of a race. I found staying on defensive was more conducive but I got it in my first WSG, so your mileage may vary. If you are already an spriest, using Holy with the Body & Soul talent as your dual spec would probably be your best bet.

It is a very frustrating achievement, but perhaps the same could be said of the many PvE ones for those whose interest is primarily PvP?

I don't think I've ever seen so many guilds recruiting for 25 man raiding as now, its crazy. Its also a bit bizarre that after (3?) weeks of ulduar release already nearly a dozen guilds have cleared it on my server in 25 man mode and a dozen more are stuck on mimiron.

The drama is epic fun however, last night in my guild while I was doing my argent crusade dailys the guild was raiding, the guild leaders best friend got "loot counciled" the first legendary shard drop. Even though he's a prot paladin. Who says hes going to respec to holy very soon. Naturally just about every healer in the guild gquit after that, and now the guild leader is trying to figure out wtf to do and how to keep raiding. haha

Our GM and Resto shaman decided to loot council himself the shards with the consent of other officers, and no one bitched about it. Loot council works fine as long as the loot is handled thoughtfully ^^. We're also pretty lucky so he has like 20shards already.

I think mimiron will act as a deteerent for scrubs guilds though, while everything before can be killed easily, he does require quite a few different things from players, due to the length, phases and difficulty. It's not crazy difficult at all, but a lot of guilds will crash and disband on it I think.

It's basically down to the fact there is no real point in clearing Ulduar and many of the older raiders are just turning their backs on this piss poor expansion and looking elsewhere for entertainment.

There was no point in clearing any dungeon for the past 4 years. Hasn't stopped people.

As the week progresses you get a lot of douches who work actively to prevent anyone from getting the achievements.
