My luck is I'll buy a Mac and SOE will get a wild hair up their asses and update the server with the expansions due to everybody here starting up.

I really wish they would just make a copy for a windows server. I'm willing to give my $15/month to them for a static game.

Screen shots inc. Using the WoW UI for EQMac...nice and simplistic.

First one is a Kurn's group from either last night or two nights ago..can't remember. The second one is from a few mins ago the Temerity guys dropping some MGB buffs in PoK. Its nice being able to be hit by all the high level buffs (ie not having to ask for temp instead of virt). Fenneddar has been really helpful, giving everyone WR Backpacks and buffing whenever hes on.

My only problem with macs has been their cost, and lack of software (video games) support. My friend always had one for his final cut and after effects or w/e it is.

Damn Kurns tower has always been one of my favorite zones. My my first EQ buddy there.

As for OSX growing on Windows users I can attest to this. I "converted" a year ago when I bought a MacBook Pro and haven't gone back or wanted to. Still have Boot Camp to run Warhammer and EQ2 but thats about it.

Well, as is tradition with classic Everquest, screenshots are saved as the dumbest kind of file type possible. They aren't bmp's, but they are something equally stupid. You have to open each screenshot and resave it as a jpeg.

I suppose I've never paid attention to anything beyond the "submit reply" button, but I'll attach some to the forum later then. Thanks for the eloquent, friendly tip.

I will NEVER comprehend people using WoW UI for Everquest, or any game's ui for another game for that matter. God that is ugly. There are two GREAT ui's that are in the tradition of the original ui's around the PoP era. Just go to eqinterface and look at the Mac section. There aren't many, but there's enough. There's also some on the EQMac forum site, but most of them are the same as the ones from EQInterface. Anyways, to each his own I guess.

Edit: Oh and for fuck's sake you have Luclin models on and my bard is in that second screenshot. It's painful to look at; I DO NOT look like that. I am a classic wood elf.

The UI isn't that bad. Get some transparency going on the chat windows and stuff and you could build a decent one out of it.

I will concur on the models though. Gross.

Thinking about buying a mac mini because i don't want it to come with a monitor, anyone have any suggestions on a cheap on? Was thinking of spending around 200. Tried loading a hacked OSX on my laptop but its a dell and i can't load any other OS other then Vista on it, my main computer is custom and it would be a complete bitch to get working if i could get it to work at all.
