I'm still waiting for a new guild to rise up. I'd like to join Mortal Terror, but I simply cannot do merit loot ever again.

Merit loot isn't too bad. I prefer zero-sum DKP. Don't kill a boss, and get loot? too bad so sad.. someone wants to horde their dkp and not spend on loot. Guess what, now you get no more DKP to horde.

But, the merit system has it's benefits, and at this point, as long as I'm having fun, then it really doesn't matter. So far it's all good.

We really haven't had any complaints so far other than the "why did he get that? I really wanted it instead." We take just about everything into account, how much effort this person puts forth outside and inside raids, personal progression, do they help the guild do missions and gear up outside raids, attendance percentages, etc. I'm pretty confident we have a fair system going on. But that's cool... we're full up on bards anyway :P

No offense to you or the guild, I just can't do the merit system ever again, even if Jesus is on the loot council. I'm glad to hear Inphared got demoted, I couldn't imagine him awarding loot, haha.

I'll tell you what, afk exping with mercenaries really angers those that don't have the means/creativity to do it themselves. I now have three different people that will try to find me and train/kill me just for the mere fact that I am afk exping with mercs, it's nerdrage at its best. They really get so angry they can't control themselves and spam all sorts of bullshit and make up all sorts of blasphemy. I've heard I'm going to be banned for merc exploiting and for auto attacking mobs now and then (lolz riposte). Good shit.

According to SOE that is considering an exploit and I have seen people banned over it.

How in god's name is paying 35 plat per 15 minutes for my mercenary to do what it's supposed to an exploit? I mean for godsake they programed the mercs to attack things when you get attacked, if I have a cleric merc that can heal the tank merc, that kills the stuff that agros, how in godsname am I exploiting? Hell, if that is a bannable offense, I'd want to be banned. Fuck SoE is stupid, I'd like to talk to the GM or devs that say it's an exploit and bannable. That's nearly a GD lawsuit.

I got caught using MQ2 visually by a GM when he entered The Nest and the whole zone was dead from Zero Delay and I was killing a mob on other side of zone at the zone in. I didn't even get banned for that.

It is technically against the rules, I got a couple warning way back on my mage for AFK leveling when pets used to be KOS if you were.

That's so hilarious. So where do they draw the line? What if I'm camping a mob and playing and go take a shit and my pet kills it? What then? What if I have really bad diarrhea and take 2 hours? What about raising your swimming skill like people have been doing since 99? How in gods name can that be an exploit as long as you aren't using any sort of keystroke programs. And yet Mirabelle sits here platspamming/platselling 24/7 w/o any kind of warning/suspension.

There's a reason the mercs cost 35 plat every 15 mins. Not like it's free exp, it's expensive as fuck less than decent exp at that.

It's ok if it makes you feel better I got suspended for a week because my flayed barbarian leggings sold for 450k and the GM said it was a suspicious sale so it must be plat purchasing. Of course, the week they suspended me was the double exp week, go figure.
