new hotzones are icey (and lackluster):
20: Everfrost
25: Permafrost Keep
30: Iceclad Ocean
35: Tower of Frozen Shadow
40: Great Divide
45: Eastern Wastes
50: Velketor's Labyrinth
55: Kael Drakkal
60: Western Wastes
65: The Ascent
70: Icefall Glacier
75: Valdeholm
75: Frostcrypt

Velks, Perma and Tower aren't bad.

if you are a paladin, remember to get the holyblade AA before head there....you'll rape the place

my wish list (aka zones that have mobs and 'camps') would be something like unrest or omen, sola, tofs, guk, hole, chardok, sebilis, bot, paw, illsalin, LP. I'd list fire but it's crowded enough as it is, the other zones have serious underpopulation issues most of the time.

How they come up with the idea to make zones like EW and WW hotzones is beyond me. Those zones aren't underpopulated because they're old, it's because there's not a good way to make good exp in them for the most part. They were empty of exp groups even after velious was released, because that's not really what their purpose was for

They too lazy to actually fix paladins, so they just give them a hotzone for a few months that they can seriously own in. Makes me want to make a paladin, too bad I wouldn't be 75 on him before the hotzone went away.

Realized last night that there are a lot of people pushing AA on this server. Level 60-65 but have 300+ AA. Thought that was pretty interesting. I started doing it myself at level 65. Will go for 150 or so before moving on.

I'm actually kind of sad stoneroot is gone. It's pretty good with the right puller/camp and the mobs aren't that tough. I don't know why they would make EVERY zone an ice zone though either even if it's for some sort of upcoming expansion thing. Why would think think their playerbase wants to spend the better part of their best exp 20-85 looking at snow or ice without any sort of variety. The people making these sort of decisions now really don't seem to have a clue. Likely the same people who thought making Dreadspire a hotzone was a good idea.

I'm waiting until 65 to start AAs since thats what I was told is probably the best thing to do. I think I quit before AAs were even in the game for the first time.

I dont even know where to start for Monks though. Im 63 and all I have is Run Speed 5.

Others may shout me down but Velks Lab as a hotzone is fucking awesome if you can get a good group or have the entrance etc to yourself at odd hours in the mid to late 50s, get yourself as many aa's as you can stomach or use/bank in that time on content thats a ton easier than almost anything else you can encounter.

As for what, if you expect to group a lot or your merc cleric does a good enough job while you tank, chug down the dps track. Otherwise get a good chunk of the defensives out of the way early and when you hit the harder content after velks etc it won't seem as nasty.

I like Velks. I also like Valdeholm.

Zones that have camps, and loots, and stuff are awesome hotzones, and they seem to be going away from that. Whatever happened to zones like BoT, Seb, LGuk where camps were based on "boss" mobs that could drop your loot?

Instead we get zones now like Valdeholm where its random shit just everywhere.

I like Vald, you make your own camps, and there is so much random shit everywhere it turns into great exp, but I do miss camping a mob for an item while getting exp at the same time.

Edit: Oh , and I've heard of level 75 wizards rocking 100 AA / day in Icefall kiting spiders. I feel that you'd have to play 24 hours straight to hit those numbers, but that just got boosted major with it now being a hotzone.

Every Pre-lvl 80 zone should be a hot zone.

I always used Imitate Death as my substitute for cloudy potions. Truly an awesome AA. Max combat fury on top of the above as well, i'd throw in physical enhancement and punch mastery in as well off the top of my head. my monk on fv has like 1900 AA but it's hard for me to remember what's available at what level

Fuck the new hotzones.

Tried solo'ing some AA's in Velks, had to gate like 4 times in an hour because of tard trains.

Then tried WW, got gfluxed by some dragon (Carnagalienia or something) and took 200k fall dmg.

Goodbye hotzones, back to CoD.

If they didn't train Velk to zone in, they were amateurs.
