Enjoying the hell out of this so far.

Places like Seb, AC, and the sort have enough people to actually go LFG *in* the zone and find a spot.

My Paladin is almost 60, look up Antares if you need me.

Yeah, it's a lot more different experience than everyone was expecting. Flawed Defiant gear is strong, but DPS is bad compared to being able to twink and buff on normal servers, and PLing on top of that, so leveling is a lot rougher. Highest lvl is 72 atm.

He''s just being a dick......back in the day you'd be blackballed because people would be able to ascribe those actions to you. Not any more.....game knowledge is much lower across the board so guys like that can get somewhat of a free pass.

I'm having a shit ton of fun on this server. Yeah, it's easy but I like easy after having to normally sit LFG for 2-3 hours at a time on Luclin on my Enchanter, which is probably the most obsolete class in the game today.

I got my Cleric from 51-60 in no time--just a few hours. Very nice stuff. Plus, I had a few LoN claims and some regular claims that I never used from a few years ago. You can also claim Gift of Legacies Lost to get your 10 Exp Potions to help (I might save mine for after the exp bonus disappears) and if you have Veteran Rewards, do /veteran to get your LoTD and 100% Exp Rez.

I've only really been to SSRA and Crypt of Decay. SSRA was awesome, and it's so big that noob trains don't really affect you, but CoD was awful train central.

So where are some good spots to kill solo at 52? I've been doing a bit of AC and the hole but I have to believe theres something better out there.

There was a minimum time for each expansion (8 weeks, I think) and the progression mobs were usually downed 1-2 weeks into each. Essentially, some folks raced as fast as they could.

Are there any current servers that have a good population? I reupped two accounts yesterday and started a mage/necro combo, hit level 11 earlier in the warrens, been a lot of fun actually running around murdering Kobolds, but any servers running mock progression guilds or just have a good population of people?

I'm on Stromm and we have a decent population. Theres one guild atleast that is progressing, I think they're just hitting up luclin.

Is it still possible for someone to start on this server and be able to catch up? Also, would this be a good place for someone who never really played that much eqpc? Learning curve, etc.

The server is less than a week old, of course. I got on today, joined a PoI group at 51 and was level 58 a few hours later. I don't understand the people rushing to 85, really minimizing their locations to AA, especially considering their gear.

if you wanted to try out EQ and you had no prior experience in the game it would be very easy to fall in and level up.

You can pretty much solo as any class now and make great exp. I do not use the new defiant gear but in leveling up to 11 I've looted over a dozen pieces, and defiant is what you will wear as a new player.

Far as storm goes, i made toon there as it was the only server that wasn't merged in. I'm playing Eve primarily at the moment, but I need a fantasy MMO fix right now.

The problem with playing on a decent population server is that trying to do an epic is so much more difficult with bored level 70+'s soloing the previous raid bosses.

Well, I tried it since I still have a thousand 30 day game cards from my FV days. The exp is really fast, mostly because of the bonus weekend, but fast nonetheless. I've always hated plane of innovation so I refuse to go there, despite it being hot; I've heard it's really packed anyways. I did get 51-53 in Sebilis with only 2 others in about 90 minutes, and that was pretty fun.

The defiant gear drops anywhere now I guess, because I've seen quite a few pieces in random areas. I guess it gets better depending on the mob level? The 50 aa's are stupid since you can't use any till like 60, it should have been a 60/50 server. Anyways, I won't be sticking around, just thought I'd check it out and post what I saw.

For storm, I was lying in my previous post, but apparently I made some toons on that server ins 2003, leveled them to 5 with full sets of leather armor. Was this server under a special rule set?
