Strange...I like to play with some females in guild. Dunno why, as long as they can play decently, i think i prefer females to males!
I guess it is easy to blame females when males can't stop drolling at them over teh internet but hey...i think it is better to get rid of stupid horny cyber males.

I won't disagree that a lot of guys need to wisen the fuck up and stop acting like tools around e-vag, but there are a lot of women who encourage it and lead them on as well. Both sides deserve fairly equal blame for the ridiculous levels of drama and douchebagery that go down.

Used to be a healing officer in a so-so raiding guild during vanilla. Once you got over the hurdles of GM/RL's wife being shit poor player, but completely unable to take a constructive criticism about how she could be better, you still had to deal with the whole issue of her "friends" network. She was one of those bleeding hearts types, and anyone who whispered her telling they were "down, because my gold fish/cat/ cousin died" she'd immediately gush out empathy by the fucking buckets, and heaven forbid you'd try to have any kind of leading going on after that. "Oh, you should give dude XYZ some slack, he's going through tough time right now!" When all that I really cared about was golly gee, we wiped again on fucking Nefarian because some retard wasn't watching out for the priest calls.

But then again, it really does go both ways... the guild I raided TBC with was always held back by couple of retards, who invariably would be girls. Any fight that requires a certain amount of personal accountability (Teron, Archimonde) would even after everything else was on farm result in wipes because people would fail at ghost controlling or item clicking. Guys failed too, but I never forget when we had wiped on Archie 5 times in a row because of one particular chick... she at least had the spine admit she had been the one who had failed clicking/decursing/running out of fire/whatever. If it had been a guy, the RL so would have replaced them already. But instead a dude says in guild "It's okay, we forgive you, you have tits". Sure meant as a joke, but true in the meanwhile. Chicks mostly don't need to improve their game because guys give them free fail passes instead of saying "l2p and then come back." Though admittedly most girls fail at taking criticism, instead of trying to take it neutrally and trying to improve it instantly turns into a blame game where you're just being mean to them and they were just unlucky/laggy.

Oh I remember in Fennin Ro TMO's GL Edarion and some chick with whom he would cyber caused some major drama shit on the server.
They would go to this hidden rock in Plane of Tranquility until a friend of mine found them and screenshooted their whole: "moving my hand up your thigh".

A few days later this female had her 'brother' post that she had died irl just so she could 'divorce' Edarion without causing drama (or the other way around) but we investigated and found the little whore and started calling her up in the middle of the night and waking her up to the sound of "moving my hand up your thigh".

And people telling Edarion everywhere: "NO MEANS NO"

She was gkicked of course and think she transfered.

Aaaaah, good times.

Oh yeah I totally forgot. One of the officers of my vanilla guild had his girlfriend in there. A complete terrible player. She had full 8/8 T1 and on one Ragnaros kill she actually did less damage than a priest who was assigned to heal the main tank. The officer said he didn't see any issues with this and she continued to raid with us.

God sometimes I miss 40man burden raids. There were so many terrible players it let the good ones really shine.

Michah, let's not forget Priestiss going and getting "date raped" (and cheating on our number #1 DPS rogue at the time, her boyfriend, who was also in the guild) - then her nudes, which she sent to each officer, one officer per week (thanks babe).

Not to mention our GM who managed to fly from Vancouver and move in with two different night elf priests, one of whom was a craaaaaaaaazy, vicious cunt who tried to bring the guild down for years after they broke up.

I wish more women RP'd men in games than dragged down our guild social structure with their attention whoring and oversized labia.

every guild I've ever been in that had a girl in any position of power, or was boinking someone in a position of power, sucked at the game as a whole.

My current guild in WoW has a single mom in an officer position. Everytime I log in I get the daily drama of her ex-husband, her kids, her poverty, whatever. Every time we actually manage to put a group together, she brings her good friend, another chick who put the tard in huntard, and you can count on 5-10 wipes on every boss in a 5 man. and the "/say AFK kids/baby" thing is worse than the smokers who take a fucking smoke break every 30 seconds.

My best chick drama guild moment came when I got guild kicked out of my first guild in EQ1 because the guild's #2 enchanter was the wife of the guild leader, and my enchanter beat hers to the snake stick and on raids, they made me primary chanter ho. She got all pissy in guild chat and a few people simply laid it out and said she sucked balls as an enchanter. Next day when I logged in, I got the "You are not in a guild" message when I tried guildchat. Couple of others were kicked as well.

One thing I will agree on for sure is the whole "can't criticize any of the real chicks in the guild" theory. I don't know what's up with that, but the offcier chick in my guild will quit a group if you tell her what she's doing wrong, and she's guild kicked a few folks who have tried to point out what she's doing wrong during a group/raid. And anytime the drama happens, everyone gets tells from the guildleader about being nice, and let's all try to get along, blah blah.

nauseating.

On that note, does anyone else feel slightly bad when you have single mums who are playing 6 - 8 hours a night? I mean goddamn what happened to parenting. We have this one chick in my guild who'll occasionally do the 'brb have to get the kids dinner,' I just wanna reach through my screen, slap the woman and tell her to get out of naxx and go spend some time with her kids.

Not a single parent but I do have a kid, I play after they go to sleep which can sometimes last for 6-8 hours. No parenting needed while they are sleeping.

Yeah being a parent doesn't mean you have to give up gaming or anything, but I know this woman is a single mum with several kids school age, one of whom she mentioned having a disability, and she's playing wow pretty much every night from when she gets home from work till midnight or so. I don't normally criticize peoples home lives or anything but there's something wrong with that scenario.
