Ready for a new look in World of Warcraft, but the barbershop's just not cutting it? You can now change a character’s gender, face, skin color, and other cosmetic features (such as tauren horn styles or a night elf's facial markings) using the brand-new Character Re-Customization service. Available at the Account Management page for a flat fee of $15, Character Re-Customization covers all available cosmetic options for a single character and includes an optional name change to go with your new look. I'm guessing this little feature will be more popular amongst the female players, but that's just me.

note that you cant change race. that would be worth it in some cases.

Coming up in a few months' time: faction change, race change, class change, buying "fluff" (either cool gear or abilities that don't do much but look nice), etc. And next year: Servers that'll let you buy gear, faster XP, and so on. Just you wait.

this is the inevitable way things will go. when the terms "mmo" and "microtransactions" were first used together it was the beginning of the end.

I did quit my rank13 mage cause i couldnt stand wachting him cast one more fucking spell back in the days - need UD - asap!

Does anyone think it's a bit funny/weird that you can change your hair/face in game for gold, but to do your skin color it costs money? I know it was unintentional, but the implications are a bit humorous

Why? So you can be undead or blood elf like everyone else? Taurens are fat and ugly and endurance was nerfed. Unless you'd go orc you have nothing to complain about.
