| Ranger Epic- lightning swords, finally stopped swapping out earthcaller for slow around the time I got 2.0 or 2.5 lol. It was well used. Tolan's BP- gate for a melee. Used it pretty much every day I logged in from the time i got it til the time i quit. Had one of those PoK gate necks too from PoP questing but I never wanted to mess with the reagants. Whoever did Kunark itemization needs to get some kind all time award =p. |

+20 Internets | 1. Greenmist. Totally redeemed being an Iksar SK. Was one of the few epics that I could be bothered to do in a MMO. Plus was something that I did mostly with a friend who had to quit EQ and move away to parts unknown shortly thereafter. So a sign of both power, dedication and friendship. Wasn't a bad blade for a while there either. |

| Weapon: (EQ) Gigantic Zweihander - Grouped with a paladin in oasis with one when Prexus first came out. At the time highest level was probably like 23, a band of people zerged Karg to get him that weapon. Item: (EQ) Guise of the Deceiver or Rubicite armor - Seeing a chain class with red plate was awesomeness. Could never tell what class anyone was though because everyone was wearing Rubicite. |

| Brilliant! | weapon - Ykesha. As above, one of the more unique designs in the game and in Vanilla EQ it was one of the most sought after. Lost its luster, as did most regular weapons, once the expansions came on. item - flowing black silk sash. Again, one of the most sought after items in the game but this is one that never really did lose its luster for a long time due to there being little equivalent that was as easy to get. |

| On my Paladin: Weapon: Toss up between Ghoulbane and Fiery Avenger When I was first leveling up in crushbone, a dwarf warrior had a ghoulbane and it was the first magic weapon and first weapon with an effect I'd ever seen. At the time, that was probably more epic to me than when I eventually found out about the FA. The FA: I just wanted that fucker so bad I skipped a blow job for it. Item: Cloak of Flames and Crested Mistmoore Shield Was one of the first 20 or so people on my server to have a CoF, never even had an fbss until I changed my main to a warrior. Once I got my ghoulbane, the CMS was the pimpest shield to have with it. Had a high level friend help me camp the shield and my quest components. Were there a few days and it was probably the most scared I've ever been in a video game, sitting in the castle hoping IVU doesn't break. On my Warrior Weapon: Blades of Carnage Had some nice weapons before them, but BoC was definitely the pinnacle of weapons for me. Plus they sold for over a grand a piece ![]() Item: Idol of the thorned and cobalt bracer Idol because it took me so damn long to get, bracer because it was the most fucking helpful item being a troll. Edit: Funny that someone put ghoulbane too Last edited by Dinthug; 11-30-2008 at 01:06 PM.. |

+69 Internets | Cane of the Tranquil. If you knew how much real world money and items changed hands between me and my friends as we passed these around our newbie alts. Still to this day, I see my friend and he's like "Hey are those the Cane of the Tranquil speakers? Is that the Cane of the Trainquil Monitor?" This was what, Kunark? Back then, all us EQ addicts would do anything for a good twink weapon. Suddenly when I was giving away the CoT's, friends were offering cash, video cards, speakers, whatever. Item: Drums of the Beast. Such a mid-range bard status item. It's a tamborine, ffs. You can tell what class I was =/

| Rubicite Armor and FBSS definitely. I creamed myself over these when I played a Rogue back in vanilla EQ.

| Soulfire, without a doubt. I would say Fiery Avenger, except that I never finished the goddamn thing. Vox was soooo stingy with that book that I just gave up eventually. But for a while there back during the first year of release, Soulfire + fbss was just awesome. As a few have said already, pre-nerf Guise of the Deceiver for item. DE pally "ftw," as they say. I should note that Ghoulbane places a VERY close second. I used that sword for like 15 levels. Last edited by Jaded; 11-30-2008 at 02:04 PM.. |
