1.0 Mage Epic, never had I had so much Determination or frustration, in getting one item. However it is and will always be the most cherished thing I have ever done in a MMO. The amount of time patience and even guildies who helped me get this item was hands down the best experience I have ever had.

Close second is the Wurmslayer, my first character was a Warrior and I went through great links to get this item buying and selling, wheeling and dealing in EC.

Item wise I would have to say and I can't remember the name, but that off hand book you had to camp for a long time. That was a fun camp, I can't imagine doing any of that these days any longer.

I got one of these in a GM even during the first few months of EQ. It was absolutely the shit for a long time, and there was a TON of urban legend/propaganda surrounding it.

God I miss being a Monk. And reminiscing about EQ items and quests wasn't because it was the first MMO or anything like that - it's that, perhaps because of all the shitty camping, bugs, etc. it created CHARACTER for those items and quests that we all remember

(like fuck Dylan whatshisface in highpass, Raster, etc.)

Favorite weapon had to be my monks mace from the PoP gods quest that shit skeletons holding seru's sword. Swarm pet weapons were awesome, and all but absent these days from the big games.
