Well, this varies from server to server but I'd highly recommend camping the AH for a week collecting certain mats, maybe more, before you decide to grind up JC. 1-210 or so JC is easy, but then you hit the phase where you need a fucking shitload of aquamarines. There's a good chance the AH won't have enough aquamarines to get you through this phase if you try and just PL it in one day, and if it does you're liable to end up paying a ridiculous premium for the aquamarines. Some of the thorium-level gems like huge emeralds, large opals, blue sapphires, star rubies are annoying too and can be tough to get in quantity on the AH. Basically check a few JC levelling guides (I don't have a link to any offhand) and scope out the mats from 210-300 skill or so. Those ones are generally where you're going to run into complications in finding enough on the AH to get you through.

I just made a DK and raised mining and mined a ton of mithril/thorium ore and prospected it all for those mats. Better than paying 10g for an aquamarine.

I had a friend roll a dk, spec blood and didn't bother to use diseases. He wasn't trying a no disease spec. He was that stupid and didn't know what they did. Another friend started making fun of him, so he started using them. He was leveling just fine.

Friend leveled a DK with some addons..that didn't have a DK specific unitframe.

He got to 80 without knowing what runes were.

Let's just cut to the chase - someone post how their friend made it to 80 as a DK - AND DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A WOW ACCOUNT OR PC!

But yeah, I facerolled to 80 as blood. I could have had a stump for a hand and just mashed 1-5 with the stump and won. Guess we'll see how 3.1 changes that.

I heard you can lvl to 80 on a rogue with a 1.3 dagger spamming sinister strike. Yeah DKs are easy, but the whole game is. Try a hunter if you think DK is too easy, you don't even need to use abilities, you just right click the monster and it dies to autoshot+pet. And it's decently fast too.

It's pretty fucking stupid and inconsistent to reset the arena points. At least we know that if people bitch enough they will revert the changes, just look at the planned honor wipe for WotLK.
