So I rerolled a lvl 1 with some friends on a new server and now a month later we've beaten everything in the game and there is nothing to do except arena a bit each week and farm the trivial raid content. Why did they make everything so easy? I understand it is great for a lot of the player base, but at least put in a couple of very challenging fights or raids. So nothing to do already until Ulduar which we'll prolly clear in a week or 2. Yawn.

Well considering there won't be strats available for the content right away, and it's going to be designed to be hard-ish, I'm gonna go with you probably won't.

Of course, I think it's completely inexcusable that they launched without a second tier of raid content, especially given their claim that Ulduar was done as of BlizzCon. It's like if they'd launched BC with nothing but Kara and Mag. Seriously now.

Well, sure it helped that most of us had done Naxx 40 man previously, but still Malygos, Sartharion, it's all a joke. Where is the content that a bunch of mouth breathing PUGs cant clear? Nothing besides 3 drakes is even remotely hard. Not once in this entire expansion has any of us felt a rewarding feeling for clearing the content.

90% of WoW's playerbase would prefer easy loot over rewarding feelings.

If my experience is any indicator, the latter half of Naxx10 is the content that a mouth breathing PUG can't clear. Over two days, many hours, and countless wipes, we killed 5 bosses. I can also say that, due to the countless wipes, each kill was rewarding.

We also wiped on the first pull of 10-man Sath - although we did end up clearing the rest without much trouble.

See, the problem is you're just trying to beat the game. You gotta take your victories and good feelings where you can get them...

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

For me, the glory of gaming isn't in how many epix I get, or how many bosses I beat before others. It's all about earning those exclamation points. It puts a warm feeling right down here in the cockles of my heart.

The other %10 say they want hard loot, but then they complain the fight is total bullshit and needs to be nerfed "aka fixed" (slightly, mind you!) or the RvR sucks and they need better items.

Yeah! And the remaining 1% sucks a math!

+1

... and don't forget they also coined the phrase "Wellfare Epics" and love to argue that time spent online = earning virtual items.

This makes me wish I took screen shots after capping snowfall all those times in AV.

Speaking of funny times in Alterac Valley, just got the "Stormpike Perfection" achievement in a game that pitted 38 Alliance against 11 Horde. Go matchmaker!

It's overcompensation from the start of TBC raiding where all the bosses were virtually impossible. Hydross required 5000g of consumables per attempt plus massive class stacking, Gruul wasn't even beatable for a time after they nerfed the limited invulnerability potion exploit.

The second half of Black Temple is probably the difficulty they should shoot for. It's not cripplingly hard, but not braindead easy either. Black Temple was really well done other than the stupid key requirement of killing a boss harder than half the bosses in there.

There's plenty of times capping it makes sense too and it's hilarious to see the outbursts when it happens.

Half? I think you mean all.

Capping Snowfall should be an achievement - "Snowfall't of mine" or something.
