(I mean seriously, you're trying to keep your roleplayer "cred" by denigrating the people you think owe you a guard as dewdz, while putting yourself in the same boat/gameplay style and state of mind as Mippo? | Guard is currently bugged (the ironbreaker version at least, I assume it's the same for other tanks), if you put it on anyone outside your group it will drop off them the moment they take damage. I always try to throw guard on melee dps or warrior priests, but with grouping as it is it's pretty rare that they'll be in my group. |

| Uhh, the whole point here is that even with a competent team, it's more experience and renown to drop out into your own group. Doesn't matter if you have an allstar pro team, or some idiot pugs. 90% of the time if you go solo you're getting more out of group. This is a problem no matter how much you wanna justify being able to drop out of party as a WE and double everybodys exp. It needs to be addressed, period. | The problem with Guard is that tanks do not mitigate the damage taken from it. Example: 1. BW is being Guarded by an IB 2. BW is hit for 2000 - Guard makes it 1000 to him and 1000 to IB Normally, the IB would only take a few hundred damage from the initial 2000. This creates a shitty situation somewhat, because you got tanks that drop like flies due to Guard damage and healers that waste healing trying to keep up the tank that has Guard going. When you throw in other factors like the soloists and healers that dont heal or other random shit, tanks just don't bother putting in the effort to Guard random pug players. +12 Internets | Few examples from tonight. Arbitrary and I in group 5 and raking in insane numbers, even when we lose. You can't tell me this is even close to fair; order loses and we still pull down more xp and 2-3x the renown of the "winning" team.

| REDLIN3D | does this work for solo healers still? I tried it a few weeks ago and seemed like they fixed it. I've done this on my sorc w/ a shaman buddy though, its good xp specially for bw/sorc cause you're at 100 FM/combustion and just 2 shotting healers etc.. if it worked for solo healing then i'd try it on my shaman, renown levels just take forever. |

| In open RvR over the weekend (thanks to the public quest holiday event) my buddy and I joined into a big battle. After a few minutes of fighting my buddy, the healer, piped up in vent complaining that he wasnt getting any exp and or RPs. I was surprised as I was getting exp and RP messages all over the place. Turns out that for whatever reason my Swordmaster AE debuff ability was tagging enemy players in such a way that I was getting credit for participating in their kills but his heals on me were not transferring any credit to him. Seeking to fix this and also allow him to be more effective we joined up with one of the warbands participating in the event and while he now started getting some RPs it wasnt nearly as much as myself. We started out about equal in RP total and Realm Rank and by the time we left to go back to question (due to him being disgusted with the whole affair) I had gained several hundred RPs and he had gained less than 100. I've tried to logic out how this came to pass, but I havent been able to. It really does seem wacky how some of this is determined.

+1 Internets | Willing to bet it's related to the bullshit they added trying to "fix" healer rp, bunch of crap about only getting so much credit for healing a person, and them needing to kill people. Probably done by the same person who designed the PQ system. |

+4 Internets | I'm starting to see fewer and fewer healers because of solo ranged dps raking in so much xp. The result? We lose a lot more, and ranged DPS are starting to get what everyone on our side was getting back when we were winning while everyone else is getting considerably less. Here's a screenshot of a PUG where we actually had healers. I was in a full group of 6, Burnita was solo. If I had gone solo would we have even won? Probably not. Sure, my XP would have still been great, but the rest of order would have been screwed. ![]() |

| Rerolled Order with some friends, and yeah. The system is broken. By the time I'm actually 21 and at the top of the food chain I'll be raking in several thousand more than anyone else. Solo Archmage ftw. |
